This is embarrassing - "regularity" problems

  • I drink a ton of water, eat clean food (lots of fruit, veggies, whole grains) and exercise 4-5 times per week. With this regiment I am not regular either...I can not "go" for a couple days. When I ate like crap, I was regular! Go figure. I resorted to taking milk of magnesia a couple times a week to keep things going better. It's gentle and I have no side effects.
  • Quote: I eat a TON of eggs, so that is good.
I was on another forum where this guy mentioned a similar problem about not having bowel movements. After much analysis of everything he ate by everyone in the forum, he figured out that it was the eggs he ate for breakfast everyday. I don't recall if he just cut back or cut them out, but the eggs were causing his constipation. I have no idea why that would be, but it might be something to try if all else fails.

Huh, that's interesting. If things don't improve, I will definitely try cutting back on the eggs.
  • Also if you have started to take a multivitamin, check if it has a lot of iron or calcium in it! Oh God, I was miserable until I figured that out. Some vitamins include ingredients which counteracts this problem, and I switched from one that did, to one that didn't without realizing.
