  • Ruth, give the book a shot. I initially read it because my fifth graders had their noses buried in it and I figured I should have some working knowledge of the story. And then I got hooked.

Karen, glad to hear you've been able to get back on the treadmill! Enjoy it!

Tanner's mom, you'll have to post your cabbage recipe if it's good. I've got a half a head (of cabbage LOL) in the fridge with no plan.
  • Happy Monday Everyone!

You all give me the inspiration to continue the good fight despite a 3 week plateau
  • Keep it up, Amy! You'll get a huge whoosh soon!

  • Welcome to our new member!

Hi Lisa! Hope you have a great day!

I'm just about to clean up from dinner and throw the steel cut oats in the crock pot for tomorrow morning. We've discovered that six hours in the perfect amount of time for cooking them so I set the timer for them to cook from 1:00 a.m. to 7:00. Then it's bath and bed time for my girlies and then I get to escape to book club. I finished the book! Yay!
  • Hello everyone,

Quick flyby for me, fell on some black ice on my way to a meeting on the North side of Campus, have a great big booboo on the top of my foot. Kinda of did the splits with one leg going backwards. Hopefully the knee will be fine tomorrow.

Karen- My DS and DD have never had a ticket yet for speeding, knock on wood, but DS has been in 2 accidents.

Kara- Way to go, you are on your way. I had a lovely swoosh this weekend and lost 3.4 lbs

Ruth- My DS loves Harry Potter, I have never managed to get started on one of them.

Okay to everyone else, need to get back to work
  • Anybody hear from TallandThin yet today? Been thinking of her.
  • Hi everyone! Finished my half marathon right were I thought I was going to be. Did really great up until mile 8 when everything decided to conspire against me. Ah well. I finished and I'm proud. Today's a sore day. Drat those stairs!

I also went WAY off plan yesterday- and I am back on track today for a low calorie day and a SBD on plan day. No cravings so far though. I find that if I stay away from sweet I'm usually ok.
  • Yay!!!!!

    Congratulations...what an achievement!!

I'm the same way - I can veer off plan with no cravings so long as I don't touch da sugar
  • Just wanted to check in. I have been up and down lately....very busy w/ work and school. Overworked. I have been discouraged but haven't lost all hope!!

My off plan moments haven't been too bad. Although I haven't been perfect, I have definitely been making better decisions. (I had Amy's organic and gluten free mac & cheese the other day. At least the ingredients are better for a "cheat" then regular mac & cheese)

I finished a project at work so hopefully this week will be less stressful and I can make my healthy and sanity more of a priority. Thaks for the support!
