When Did It Seem Real?

  • I lost alot of weight few years ago too (and got them back ), in my milestone list I actually put "finally knowing that I'll do it this time" at 172 lbs goal. It's like my mental barrier that I'm actually, really, REALLY doing it.

It's silly, maybe. I'm happy with every pound lost, but it's like it's not 'for real' before that number.
  • It's finally starting to sink in for me. I think part of it is that I first became aware of how much I had gained during August/September of last year. Granted, I didn't do anything about it until January, but I was aware of how heavy I had become almost exactly a year ago.

So now that I'm doing some of those same things (work events, going to the beach, etc.), I am aware of just how much different I am.

Funnily enough, when I tell other people how much I have lost, they are always SHOCKED AND AMAZED. Whereas to me, 45 pounds seems like chump change! But if I heard someone else say they'd lost about 50 pounds, I'd be so excited for them and think that was amazingly impressive!
