What would happen if you stuck the candle in another .....umm......well.....place?

Same old same old around here although I have started cleaning the basement....man oh man what a job!!! POOOOOOOOOOOKYYYYYYY HELLLLLLLLPPPPP MEEEEEEEE!

I hate my dh he told me I have to get a job. I figure if I just don't pay any attention to him maybe he'll go away? Maybe HE"LL get a job!

hey, dottie, want to borrow my shark steamer? It would peel that wall paper right off!?

Thinking and sending prayers to you gals in Maryland....anyone heard from That Girl?

Yep, I'll baby sit that cranky princess, Sherrie, no problem!

Debkay? that knot ..... perhaps some fiber? Baseball? yeah, who needs it! booooooooo hissssssss.

Other than that, I am trying to pull myself out of a complete funk....I think the candle thing might have done the trick though!

    The cranky princes are calling.

    later,
    peach

    Janice....good to see ya!
  • well, i finally have a bit of good news to report...

went to the pulmonologist this morning. and it's been exactly a year since i first saw him. AND:

for the first time in a couple of years, my oxygen levels are NORMAL!!!!!! 100 % saturation on room air!!!!!!

and my respiratory function is, as he put it, 'creeping into normal range' which means it's better than the last visit!!!

but maybe the best of all.. the 6-week long plateau has broken!!! i lost three pounds last week!!! and i've been losing lots of inches over the past 6 weeks, but no actual weight.

so, a good enough start to the day to get me through the **** that is work.

and that's all i'll say about that.

and love to all. there are too many things to say to answer everyone.
  • I have good news and bad news. The good news is that my dad is going home tonight. The bad news is that the kidney doc took him off dialysis becaues he said that it wouldn't help him andy and since his heart was so bad that it wasn't worth putting him throught it.

Sh.. how do you spell emotional eater? I did great yesterday, and most of the day today, but I came home and made comfort food. meatloaf (okay and OP) red beans (stretching it by saying they are low GI) and CORNBREAD (no redeeming or even excusable quality) But boy did I enjoy it all.
  • Barb, I'm so sorry to hear about your father. DOn't beat yourself up about the food you have a lot of stuff going on right now. My father died a few years ago from complications from Parkinsons Disease. Hang in there and enjoy every good moment with him. Sending you hugs!
  • Ageoldie - I'm so sorry about your dad. At least everyone will have a chance to say all the lovely things to him that many people never take the time to say before their loved ones depart.

Peachie - you cracked me up with that misplaced candle thing!
And Jiff! Great news about your levels and lb. drop!

I love it when we have back to back sisters around here.

  • Having #2 daughter here for a week is not good for my diet. She brought home a large bag of Nacho chips today and I couldn't leave the darned things alone. This will never do. I will have to get rid of her. HAHAHA
  • Good um...yesterday!! Yep, I am definitely late. Worked all day, weeded until dark, ate, watched a movie and have been nailed to this chair ever since...boy did I have lots of work to do. Finally get to come by and say hi!

Pook, Cody wants to be Pee-Wee Herman. Ha! I think he would do good. I'll have to get him some elevator boots if he really goes through with it so he can learn to dance like he did for 'Tequila'.
He may change his mind though. I think he should be a stand up comedian. We can put him in a suit and give him a mic stand and he can tell jokes at the neighbor's. He's always trying to crack a joke. He really puts me and Rob in stitches with his witty one-liners. What is Miree going to be?

Ruth! I hope your arms heal soon. My mom's doctor's office told her that if she drinks a lot of water for the 24 hours before her appointment, that her veins would be more visible. She followed orders and they didn't bruise her like they usually do.

MamaJ, congrats on the blood work! My mom (yeah today is Mom day) is on HRT, has been since her 40's. She said it was the best thing she ever did.

Debbie, I hope you butt feels better soon! Comfy Butt Wishes to you!

June, did you make it to Jazzercize? I can't wait until my Leslie Sansone Ab tapes come. I'll shake the house down. For real, I will have to get a space rug or something. We have wood floors throughout so vibration will carry! I will be good entertainment for my neighborhood. We have a picture window in the living room and we just have shears hanging. Our yard is elevated about 6 feet so my living room is sort of a stage...

Barb, I am so sorry about your Dad! Life works in mysterious ways and you never know what may happen. My good friends mother has had terminal cancer for 4 years. They gave up on her about 3 years ago, but she is still with us. Good luck to all of you.
    xoxo

Jiff, way to go on the inches! I finally broke down and measured myself last week. I did it to get a body fat estimate on the ishape site. I didn't know it existed. Clicked on a banner and figured the body fat then. It wasn't as horrifying as I thought it would be!
Hopefully I will see some inches moving also.

Goodnight everyone. Off to make more recipes for the online cookbook...
