I'm a happy Mom tonight. I picked up #2 daughter at the airport today for her 8 day visit. So good to see her I just wanted to hug her to bits, but I managed not to blubber all over her. She managed to stay awake until about 10 but has finally crashed. Of course, it's early morning in Scotland now so she was kinda running on empty. Her older sister showed up this evening so we had a bit of a family reunion with lots of giggles and girl talk. Older daughter "candled" both our ears which was cause for a lot of ridiculous comments and laughter. This is a new sideline she's learned (as if she wasn't busy enough in her home beauty salon!) I couldn't believe all the gunk that came out of my supposedly clean ears.
This has not been a good diet day as I was at my women's club's Fall Workshop most of the day and, as usual, there was a wonderful pot luck lunch. Yes, there were "legal" things I could have made a nice meal out of, but I allowed myself to be tempted by all the lovely casseroles and desserts. Back on track for dinner this evening but, no doubt, I will pay the price for my sins.
Nice to see some familiar faces (welcome back, Kat) after a long absence. See....they always come back.
