  • Thank you GenetJen!!

Also, Dianne, I would try just keeping your carbs under 100g per day. Medifast claims this keeps you in a very mild state of ketosis, and I didn't really believe it could be true since I'd done Atkins and lived on 20 net carbs a day before to stay in ketosis.

But I found it to be true. You get all the hunger-killing benefits of ketosis, without going extremely low carb.
  • LOL, Dianne, I get that a lot now. I'm 29, going on 30! Thanks so much. I agree, it is totally an addiction. There so much mental and emotional crud tied to food.

I know I'm not free of it by any means, but I think I'm better equipped now than I was 7 months ago.
  • That is a good idea. I think I will try to stay at or around 100g. THAT is a big change for me lol

You look amazing for 29! I would have never guessed!
  • wow chickpea, you do look amazing! you're so freaking tiny (in a good way) and adorable.

and good luck with your goals dianne!
  • Wow Chickpea, you look amazing!!

I will have to look for some before photos and see if there is one I am brave enough to post!
  • Chickapea, how cute are YOU!! Great success story!!

Dianne, I don't see your pic

I don't really have a before and after pic, I should dig something up though...
  • Thank you Therex, you too! You are almost there!

Ilene, I took it down becuase after looking at it again, it looked a little riskay to have on here. I am not sure what is appropriate and what isnt. I was in a sports bra and underwear and it might have been a little too showy. So just in case, I took it down. Oh well, Im not at that weight anymore :/

Happy Thursday everyone!! Its almost Friday!!
  • I'm really annoyed at myself, I don't have any photos of me at my highest weight - certainly no full body ones - I think I was avoiding the camera. Also when I decided to 'diet' I was so sure that I would give up after a week, like so many people do. As I suppose my diet was mostly for vanity's sake, no medical reason.

Also I lost 6 pounds in my first 2 weeks, it literally just fell off. the last 5 pounds have taken me 2 months! So by the time I realised I was sticking to it... I wouldn't look hugely different to I do now. Which is a bit sad because I want to see my hard work be paid off.

Oh well when I reach my goal - if that ever happens - I'll post a photo here.
  • Chickapea - you look fab. Congrats! xx
  • Dora,

Are you doing low carb or low calorie? Or both or neither? lol What about exercise?
  • Trust me, if I had seen that picture, there's no way it would have lasted on the camera more than 5 minutes. Luckily, someone else took it and never showed it to me until I was far enough along that I didn't even recognize the person in that photo.

Thanks for all the compliments! I know that I get so much inspiration here from seeing progress pics, that I had to give some back.

And Dora, you'll be surprised what a difference 5 lbs can make. Especially those last 5 lbs.
  • Chelsey - Low Cal and High Fibre. I'm trying to make sure I hit 25g every day otherwise I get hungry...

No exercise at the mo lol, waiting to get a job and then I'll join a gym!
