Part of the problem today is the ever increasing firms that are encouraging others to sue for the least thing and not accept blame.
I had an incident when as I was pulling away in my car I accidently went too close to the car in front of me and prised off the bumper. Not knowing who's car it was and as I was on my way to work at the time I put the bumper on the hood of the car with a note saying where I lived. He sued me for heaps and I didn't have a leg to stand on as I had admitted to damaging his car.
Certainly makes me feel like not owning up in the future.
