  • LOL at Saef's post. CUTE!

What I would do, until you can afford a new scale, is weigh ASAP at work. Of course there will be a difference because of breakfast, clothes, coffee...etc. So don't worry if it weighs you 3 pounds more, (or whatever it might be). Just go from there to obtain your losses. Whatever it says will be your new temporary weight. A pound is still a pound by any other scale.
  • Ahhhh, well the crisis is over. I came home to check for KG/LB switch. There was one and while it appeared to be on pounds, when I moved it back and worth, it started working! Yes, oh, and I lost a pound!
  • It was probably a pound of tears from crying over the loss of your scale!

I'm so glad that the little tab was your problem!! I hate switching scales, because I always find my old one weighed less than the new one.... LOL!
  • Quote: Does your scale weigh in kilograms as well as pounds? I know our fancy one at work does, there's a little switch somewhere it is easy to hit. I ask because 206 pounds is around 95 kg so I'm thinking your scale is fine it's just talking to you in metric.
I was going to say that. Yesterday, I weighed myself to find I weighed 116. I tried again, same thing. I picked it up to read the little letters under the number and realized it was going by kilogram. I didn't even realize it had a switch because it was on the bottom of the scale. Silly scale got bored and wanted to pull a prank on me.

Hooray! Your scale had a miraculous recovery. After a tearful reunion and a warm resolution of the issues the two of you had, you can pick up where you left off, except now you'll have a new understanding and appreciation for each other.

Nothing to see here, people. Move along.
