  • Lisa, good for your son!! That is so awesome! I think it might take me 24 HOURS to run a 5k!!
  • We now resume regular programming.
  • Way busy at this moment but wanted to say hi! Mom should be here any minute, we just got home from church and are trying to get our house spiffed up since I worked half the night cleaning my stuff out of hers. Hers is perfect! Just like she left it last fall!

    See ya'll later!
  • Just back from a bit of a forage in the garden. I have spinach for a salad, garlic chives and enough rhubarb for a wee rhubarb and sf Jello dessert! Not a sign of the asparagus yet but it sure is nice out there --- aside from a bird who pooped on my hat. (That's supposed to be good luck?)
  • I'm just back from spending a nice afternoon with my son, DIL and grandkids. WE went to a mall in Delaware, where Andrea, Amber and I had fun stocking up on our favorite bath and body stuff at Lush, and then had a nice dinner at Don Pablo's, where I stayed pretty much OP. It was a great way to spend a rainy, gloomy afternoon, and Jake was able to watch his favorite Sci-Fi shows and nap all afternoon without me nagging him.
  • I'm home! Will catch up tomorrow
  • The site was down! What happened??? Where is 3FC actually located? Were they in the bad weather area yesterday? We had bad weather yesterday. A big limb fell out of a tree onto my hubby's work truck and broke the back window out. We are fortunate. People just north of us lost much more.

There is absolutely nothing exciting going on. Life has gotten back to normal after our wonderful Disney trip. I guess the next thing to look forward to is my in-law's 50th Anniversary in June. We are going to have one heck of a party!
  • I wanted to treat myself to a book today so off I went to Borders. I picked out a few cookbooks, a mystery, one on decorating and Geneen Roth's new book: Women Food & God. Went to the cafe & got am iced tea with nf milk & sat down. I laid the books out on the table before me. Oh, I wish I could buy them all but I'm really on a budget. I sipped my tea and pawed through the books - each was interesting and seemed worth buying. How to choose?

As I'm pondering my choice I hear my cellphone ring. I reach over for my purse and spill the tea ALL OVER THE BOOKS.

There you have it. I'm the proud owner of five new books!
