aww congrats .. i'd love to hear the proposal story!
This talk of alterations has given me another thought. My dress was a corset style (lace up back). It is a perfect design for someone unsure of what their final weight will be prior to the big day. If you happened to slim down much more than expected, or stayed the same, the dress would accomodate. For me, it also had a great slimming effect. I love that dress so much I'd wear it daily if it wasn't so blessed hard to get in and out of...impossible alone.
thanks for the vote of confidence!
here is how he proposed:
a few weeks prior he told me that he'd love for us to have a "triple date" with some of his friends and their so's. i didn't think that much of it and was like "sure". so anyway, the day came and we did something that he and i normally do, which is go to the driving range.
however, he knows that whenever we go to the driving range we bicker about our golf form, blah blah blah, and he proceeded to intentionally annoy me. this proceeded until it got to the point where i was like 'what do you want?' and then he proposed.
:]
it's gotten to the point where i dont want to take my engagement photos- got a deal for a 60 dollar 2 hour photo shoot through groupon- until i lose some weight..
Don't worry about rushing for your engagement shots. My hubby and I got engaged at Mount Vernon in January. Lovely spot, but kinda stark in Winter. We waited and went back with our photographer in June and had a blast. The weather and grounds were gorgeous...well worth the wait!
IN FACT...my avatar is from our engagement photos! lol
