  • Quote: So how did you do during the superbowl? Everyone stay strong?
i didn't. i went to a birthday party that afternoon and had cake and ice cream, then a superbowl party at night and had bbq beef and pizza...then dessert. i'm up two pounds today, yuck! i'm so unmotivated now, that food was sooooo good! and the thing is, i didn't even eat a lot, just a few bites of each.
i have at least 20 more pounds to go and i feel like thats so far away!

Made it through hubbys birthday and the superbowl relatively unscathed! haha I did eat my group 2 protein Friday night hubby wanted pork chops so I indulged a little there. Then last night took fat/carb blocker just in case, but only popped 3-4 chips and stayed away from the dessert...just didn't think I would stop at a bite or two. Man it's not getting any easier - but I just keep thinking how much better I feel OP.

Don't stress over the 2 lbs, it's probably just water weight. Give it a few days and you'll drop those 2 plus some!
  • I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one falling off the program. I went in and weighed today for the first time in 12 days and I was at the SAME weight! That made me feel good. I also have been making decisions about food that are much better then I would have made a year ago, so hopefully by the time I get to maintenance it will be easier.

I have had one heck of a time getting back OP though. I was doing great until the week before Christmas and now it seems I can't go more then two or three days OP. I took a vow today to "re-start"....and as my counselor reminded me today, only one more pound and I can sign the 25 board, but sure would like to sign the 30 soon. Not sure why I'm not as enthusiastic as I was when I started.....
  • It seems that I go off program once a month (I don't plan it that way), and I usually go off for a day. I go right back on program the following day. Everytime I do this the scale shoots up an automatic 4lbs and then takes a week to go back down.

Don't beat yourself up. Just get back on board and keep going =)

We're human and this program is very restrictive.
  • We are leaving for Disney World and I know I will fall off at least one night. We never get to go to this one restaurant and we are going while in Orlando. I guess if it is planned then I can monitor so I don't over do it. Plus all that walking we will be doing with the kids!!

Good Luck at Disney World. We went over Thanksgiving. I had really good intentions.. LOL. I didn't stick with the plan and am mad at myself because of it. I tried to eat better, not totally off plan, but I maintained while I was there. With all the walking we did, I would have lost a ton if I'd stuck with the Plan. Let me know how it goes. We are going again this year, and I'm determined to stay on plan this time.

Have Fun!! Say Hi to Mickey..
  • It's good to know we are all human! I went to visit my Mom and it has been hard getting completely back on the program. I did pretty well while I was gone and thankfully didn't gain - but a loss would have been nice! I've got 10 days till we head for Hawaii and would like to be down at least 5 more by then!
