  • I might try mixing it up a bit. I do 80-120 min a day, and the only way I don't get sick of it is mixing it up, doing different things, and challenging myself in new ways.
  • Thanks everyone. I will see about trying some new things and changing up how long I am working out. I will keep ya'll updated
  • Jillian's 30 day shred kicks my butt lol I love doing the weight loss yoga though.

I have went through the same thing. I do cut back every so often just to keep burn out. Then I hit it back after the week is up. Usually by then I am ready to get back into things.
  • Do you belong to netflix? You could always rent a couple of different DVDs to mix up what you're doing.
  • No, I am not part of netflix
  • I can totally relate. When I first started working out, I really focused on increasing my cardio routines to over an hour. It got to a point where I was spending 1.5 - 2 hours at the gym each time. Boredom set in and my motivation dropped. Subsequently, I ended up taking a lot of days off from exercise and a stubborn plateau set in. My trainer gave me some good advice, "keep the body guessing". With her help, I now have a wide variety of exercises to choose from. When we do meet, our training sessions consist of strength and core exercises that can all be done at home with no equipment. The only time she has me work on a machine or lift heavy weights is to gauge my progress. I'm currently training to participate in a relay marathon this coming May. As a result, many of my exercises are new and have me sweating buckets, just like when I first started working out. Hang in there, I know you will work through this. Just so you know, my workouts are now only 45 minutes to an hour long.
  • Thank you
  • Maybe you could do some mall walking (lots of malls open early for just this reason). Get your walk in and then treat yourself by trying on clothes you could never have squeezed in before!
  • Thanks for the suggestion
