  • Thanks everyone for the share! I'll have to check your suggestions out! Keep them coming!
  • I'm showing my age here:

    (Artist: Song)
    Fluke: Atom Bomb
    DJ Trashy: Axel F
    Black-eyed Peas: Boom Boom Pow
    DJ Sammy: Boys of Summer
    Christina Aguilera: Candyman
Robert Miles: Children (Eat Me Edit)
O-zone: Dragonstea din tei (yes, the NumaNuma song)
Cindy Lauper: I Drove All Night
Lords of Acid: Lady Marmalade (their other stuff is very risque!)

Bonnie Tyler: Holding Out for a Hero
Military cadences for when I'm running, I can keep time and pace, and it's fun to sing along.

This is just the playlist entitled "Running"; if I'm just strength training, it's any of the other bajillion songs on my ipod.
  • Quote: Lords of Acid: Lady Marmalade (their other stuff is very risque!)
Very true, but that just struck me as funny!!!!
  • This is the playlist I used today. It's approx 5 min per song, so I did 5 min fast walking, 5 min jogging and alternating for a total of 46 min:

    Death - White Lies
Failling To Pieces - Faith No More
    Serenade - Ultravox
All the Love in the World - Nine Inch Nails
    Rehab - Rihanna
    Godlike/Doglike - KMFDM
Somebody up there likes you - Simple Minds
    Dreaming - Camouflage
Running up that Hill - Placebo

I realise it probably sounds very ecclectic and showing my age a bit and I'm ok with that
  • I'm definitely more into rock when I work out too

Some great bands that are all over my work out playlist are Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace and Trapt.
  • A lot of my songs are pretty much the same as you ladies have mentioned... but the one random song I have on my workout playlist would be Touch of Grey by the Grateful Dead.

    Random, I know.

    But, it makes me perky!
  • I love working out to my playlist....

Here is my new and latest song that has a great tempo
Fire burning on the dance floor by Sean Kingston
I love Lady gaga music as well..
  • BEPeas "I gotta Feelin" really did it for me!
  • I have a really, really random mix and some of the songs are really ridiculous, but hey it works! And nobody's gonna look at my future slim body and think, "ha she did that listening to what???"

I love jock jams... You know... Let's get ready to rumble, pump up the jam, this is how we do it, everybody dance now. A lot of upbeat 80s and 90s songs. And I definitely love listening to Van Halen and Def Leppard when I run. Oooo, and I have the olympics theme song on my playlist - I try to time that for almost the end of my workout, when I feel like giving up. No matter what, music is extremely powerful and uplifting!!
  • I have a kinda random list so I can hit shuffle and go with it. It's mostly poppy music just because I seek out things with a strong backbeat to keep my feet going.

    1. Kanye West - Heartless
    2. Kanye West - Stronger
    3. Katy Perry - I Kissed a Girl
    4. Katy Perry - Hot N Cold
    5. Lady Gaga - Just Dance
    6. Lady Gaga - Bad Romance
    7. Lady Gaga - Paparazzi
    8. Cascada - like the whole Everytime We Touch album... hahaha.
    9. The Killers - Mr. Brightside
    10. The Killers - Somebody Told me
    11. The Medic Droid - Fer Sure
    12. The Ting Tings - That's Not My Name
    13. Rihanna - Run This Town
    14. TI - Live Your Life
    15. Sean Kingston - Fire Burning
    16. Britney Spears - 3
    17. Cobra Starship - Good Girls Go Bad
    18. Jay Sean - Down
