  • Hi Hannah, and the rest of you too.

I'm sorry to hear about your husband. It takes a lot of determination to pick up and go to a strange city and start over. ButI'm sure the new house will keep you pretty busy for awhile. Making new friends in a strange city takes time. Joining groups and going places, I'm sure you will meet new people that share your interests.

I post in the 50+ section, in the Golden Girls. It's for a little more mature ladies. Face it, it's a little harder to lose weight when you're older. But it can be done. Come on over and check us out.
  • Welcome and good luck
  • I'll be sure to check out the 50+ group, no kidding it's harder to lose weight at this age! Yikes what a difference than when I was doing this in my 30's. It was super cold out today and I had to really motivate myself to get out for my walk. After bundling up like Nanook of the North I had a great walk! And I wore my mucklucks so no slipping on the ice, not that those things are easy to walk in!

  • Hi Hanna, I am so glad that you are walking arround! And without slipping :-)
I did some too, Its not much but its better than sitting in front of TV. And after some time it will acumulate!
  • Hi Nomena, great that you got out walking too! I'm learning new streets in my new neighbourhood and it's interesing seeing the colours people have chosen for their Victorian's, I have to paint my trim next year, yellow brick and cannot stick with a colour choice. Seems everyone on my street has taken the nice ones and left me with orange or purple, ha ha. Three days walking now and I plan to keep it up, I'm trying all my snowboots to figure out which are best for walking while keeping me safe on the ice. Thanks for the support Nomena, I really appreciate it! All Best, Hannah
