    that feels better
I'll post tonight and see some of you ladies on FB!
  • Kier, I'm RIGHT THERE with ya!

Oy! Well I have like 1 minute to breathe so here I am. Hi! TGIF!!!! Off work at 5, having dinner with Chris, then doing some shopping late tonight to finish up Christmas shopping. I still have one more thing to get him but I'm going to have to skip that one tonight and face the mall again tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm going to get Dad and Ryan done and then just have the one thing for Chris and it's time to start wrapping! WOO HOO! Need to see how many Christmas gift bags I have downstairs..... That's my kind of wrapping.

Well time to get back at it. Just wanted to pop in and say hey and I'm mad at my scale and my jeans. Hopefully Chris doesn't cook something too outrageous tonight. Moo. Will check back soon!

  • Kara, stuff like that makes me so frustrated! Hope you can just move past it, knowing that it's likely to drop just as suddenly tomorrow. Here's a recipe for gingerbread that I'm going to try this year. It looks very close to beachy (and easy to modify): http://healthyindulgences.blogspot.c...s-healthy.html Love that you put the scale in time-out.

Run by fruiting! I loved that line, Weezle! Thanks for my chuckle of the day.

    Beautiful new avatar, Jenski!

Cyndi, the Nutcracker sounds like a dream come true! I would have loved to see it when I was a little girl! Enjoy!

Kim, I'm not sure what's better--the shopping, the lunch, or the trip to the BOOKSTORE! Enjoy! Drive home safely!

    Me:
Busy, busy morning at work. Things are quieter right now...hope it stays that way! I have tons to do for Christmas and better get on it instead of piddling here. But it's such fun to catch up!

Off to the gym after work, then to the grocery store to get ingredients. I'm set to make two batches of cookies tonight and DH is making an appetizer featuring shrimp (I detest seafood and am glad to not have to deal with it).

I found a ton of really healthy, wonderful cookie recipes on FoodBlogga, which had a contest and received 228 recipes! I'm excited to try my SBD modifications.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
  • Due to the freezing nature of outside and the thin nature of my jacket I'm here!
on the crazy days I try to get outside for some zen time. I'm jugglign 8 projects right now and it looks like I'll be finishing 1 up at home b/c it's just not happening in the time I have here Next week (I think) we'll get smacked with more so SELF Preservation is the name of the game!
  • Well, insurance called they are going to fix the truck rather than total it, how do I say this- I wish they had totalled it because this makes the lesson I am going to teach DS even worse. I am going to make him pay the $500 deductible to fix- plus whatever his court costs are - plus whatever the insurance is increased to- poor boy is going to be working to hand over his checks to me.
  • Work has kept me busy lately. I've started training to take over my team leader's position. He's moving to another team in our group so at least he will still be around. I've been hanging around Don and his coworker a lot this week. Don and I went up to the health club last night and got a chance for a long talk in the hot tub. We're still just friends but its fun hanging out. He just called and is going to a party tonight so I'm going to go and meet some of his friends. He said he has one who might be interested in me.
  • Rose, hope you get everything done today. I can never get anything finished after the kids get home.

Kim, have a wonderful time out tomorrow! I don't really like gingerbread cookies that much either, but the kids have SO much fun decorating them and they make the house smell so good when they're baking!

Sophie, Connor does his homework right after school. It's our routine. Tomorrow is crazy busy and on Sundays we leave the house at 8:00 a.m. and don't get home until around 5:00 p.m., so there's no guarantee we'd get to it then. If we do it on Friday afternoon it's done and we don't have to think about it again. They don't get that much homework anyway; he only had one math worksheet today.

Weeble, glad you're on the downward trend! Good luck studying for your test!

Kierie, you need a punching bag!

Lisa, you should put your scale in time out with mine!!!

Laurie, please post your successful recipes when you're done experimenting!!!

Barbara, have fun at the party!

Connor did really well at his test. I was SO proud of him. He was working so hard and I could tell he was tired, but he kept right at it. I took a bunch of pictures and I'll try to get them up on facebook soon. We went out to dinner and I don't think I ate a single legal thing and you know what, it really didn't taste that good. Why is that? You think it's going to be wonderful and then it just is kind of blah. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.
