  • Quote: Debbie, I like the beans idea! Thanks! Are you a veggie Beacher, too???!
Not yet but I have made the shift to only organic and ethically raised-and local if possible. I find I eat far less meat on SB then I did before.
  • Good morning everyone,

Cottage- I am jealous that you are almost done with Christmas shopping I have not started.

Kara- Good luck with fixing your soup.

Ruth- Hope you had a good workout today.

Cyndi- Hope everything works out for your DD. I know what my problem always is- too much grains is what stalls my progress.

Debbie- You always get in great workouts at the pool and gym though you are just as dedicated

Silly- Keep your chin up and just ignore those ladies at work. Have fun getting your nails done.

Schmoodle- that sounds like a fun getaway have fun

Chelby- glad to see you posted. You might want as timetostart mention try doing some fun jazzexercise videos at home since you enjoy doing them or better yet since you were an instructor just put on some good music and make up your own routine just for you.

Meelsie- that's alot of hours you will be working but glad you are getting some cash inflow

Sophie- pe in both eyes poor thing. Nice that you take care of him.

As for me another crazy day at work- tonite is DD2 dance class and then I need to go to a financial aid class they are holding at HS for DS.

    Have a great day
  • You guys are wonderful! I don't remember who asked what, but here's the Jazzer-Story: I was an instructor for almost 3 years. Had great muscles under a layer of fat. I was a student for many years before becoming an instructor. I gave it up because I went back to work full time. It was too hard being having a full time job, having a family and a young child, AND being an instructor. Since I can't sell my son, something else had to give. I'll probably go back to Jazzercise in January. I'm giving the new instructor a chance to gain her leadership legs without me. I don't need the students and managers saying, "YOU didn't do it this way!" It's not my class any more.

On a happy note, I'm off work today. Yay!!! Auston's school is having their Thanksgiving lunch. Eating lunch at 10:15! I'm going to starve by dinner! On another happy note, I have a very healthy dinner planned!

Thank you all for being so supportive!
  • Oh my goodness! I guess I should have waken up earlier. There are so many posts!

Linda: I hope you have a great day and that the girls aren't hoping for haircuts that are too shocking! I wish the stores we shopped at this weekend had free gift-wrapping. That's the only thing I have left to do.

Kara: So nice to see you back here! I noticed your thread the other day, but haven't been able to post in it due to the connection problems. It sounds like you're all busy and doing well!

Hi, Ruth! Hope you made it out the door on time!

Cyndi: I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. I'm not sure what osteopenia is, but I'll be looking that up after I get done here. I hope you have a wonderful day! Stay warm! You really shouldn't worry too much about Christmas shopping; just send me some wine and be done with it!

SillyFluff: Yikes! Sounds like a rough two days! At least you'll be capping it all off with a nail appointment. Enjoy that! That is one thing that I miss about living in the city; getting my nails done. Maybe one day we'll get a nail salon out here.

Schmoodle: I feel your pain! My head hasn't been in the right place, either. I'd tell you where it's been, but I don't think it's appropriate for this site. I think it's great you're going on a getaway for Thanksgiving. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time! And just because you're not at mom's table eating turkey, doesn't mean you can't be thankful!

Debbie: I'm in West Texas, directly north of Big Bend National Park and about halfway between El Paso and San Antonio. We're a dry, desert climate and tend to get snow two or three times a year. I hope you're having a great day!

Chelby: I know how you feel! It just seems to be that time of the year for a lot of us. I hope you know that you could never bring us down...we're here to lift you up!

Meelsie: Sounds like a rough schedule, but you're right, it'll be good for the money! I hope you have a good day!

Me: Nothing going here. I was supposed to be out in the field inspecting today, but our paperwork wasn't very well organized, so we're in the office getting it all sorted out. (I entrusted one of my appraisers with the task of organizing as a re-training exercise, and it didn't work too well. I guess it's a good teaching moment!)

I've been doing decently on my workouts, but my eating has been pretty horrendous. I've got to get that back on track. I'm going to leave work a little early today so that I can get a long outside workout done before sunset. If I get that taken care of, I should be able to get a decent meal plan into the computer for the rest of Nov. and beginning of Dec.

Well, it's so wonderful to see everyone back! We've got to encourage each other to stay active; it really helps me to stay on track!
  • Whoa holy crap Kimstar, I remember you and you LOOK SO DIFFERENT. CONGRATS! You are truly inspiring.

Hi ladies, how's it going? Re: christmas shopping, I got my son one of those Tadoodlers or whatever they're called, the animals you can draw on and wipe off easily, with chunky handheld animal crayons that wash easily off walls. It is made specifically for toddlers. I found my stepdaughter a sparkly Jonas Brothers bookbag (she is obsessed), with a Miley Cyrus and Jonas Boys folders, and Hannah Montana candy to go inside.

I had some extra cash the other day and figured I'd go ahead and get started.

I love to buy gifts! Day 3 of Phase 1, hope I can kick those cravings.
  • Hey Kim! Hope your paperwork goes quickly and you can get that fun outdoor workout in! Do you still have the obstacle course up???

Rose, hoping your day goes well and the financial aid class isn't super boring!
