  • i weigh myself daily. once in the morning when i first get up and thats it.
  • mslrb u have more will power then i do!!!
  • lol i guess so heiditruth. a lil secret too, u weigh less in the mornings then u do in the evenings since your bladder is empty and so is your stomach.
  • Quote: Yeah, I think once I start to lose again I'll go back to weighing a lot. But when I can tell I'm just staying put I don't look at it
So true! I also don't look if I think I gained, which is probably a bad idea...
  • yeah i dont like to look when i think ive gained either...but it is good to look cause if u have gained, ur informed and u can do something about it
  • I do this too!!
  • yeah thats true mslrb just the darn scale is so addicting. who would of thought that!!
  • For me this is a slippery slope...

I limit myself to one weigh-in a week on Thursday mornings..if I don't then my life revolves around the scale...I used to weigh myself 4-5 times a day like many of you, and it became SO destructive...my happiness was dependent on gains/losses in pounds.

I just remember that as long as I am eating my healthy foods and exercising I am getting healthier, which is my goal. Yes I want to lose weight, but it's no longer my number one goal...my main goal is just to FEEL good and LOOK good...I don't care so much about the number anymore.

For me, this has been a huge leap...I used to be so obsessed with a 0.2 pound gain that I would then starve myself until I lost it that tiny bit of weight...my main goal at that point was losing the weight and getting to the "magic" number. I know that if I weigh myself multiple times a day I will get myself back into really bad habits..so I just put the scale way up high in the closet where it is out of sight.

Although, that sucks you work at a doctor's office..I don't know if I could resist the urge so easily then.
