Textures. Definitely textures. I have a whole list of foods (lima beans, warm apples, sushi, nori, mushrooms, etc) that I won't put in my mouth specifically because of the texture.
Then there's preparation methods. No overcooked chicken. No overcooked (or undercooked) beef. No soggy vegetables. Etc.
Then flavors. Nothing bitter. Nothing overly salty. Nothing gag-me sweet. Nothing acidic.
And
NO NO NO NO NO NO SPLENDA! I REFUSE to eat anything with Splenda in it! Splenda has the worst aftertaste EVER. I get a tiny tiny bit of it and can't get the aftertaste out of my mouth, no matter what I wash/rinse with, for at least an hour afterward. It's cut me way back on packaged 'diet' foods, though!
