  • Just to say, last year I started almost the same exact plan, walking/jogging 1.5 hours a day on the treadmill. I was really consistent with it for about a month, but by the end of the month I'd gained 3 pounds. Why? Because I wasn't keeping track of my food and counting calories, so after my nice long workout (maybe 500 or 600 calories burned), I'd go off and eat a burger and fries (900 calories) or three slices of pizza (1100 calories) or most of a bag of tortilla chips with salsa (800 calories). I told myself I was "being careful", but I wasn't, because I wasn't writing it down or actually counting the calories.

So now I'm doing both, and it's working a lot better for me. I hope you find what works best for you!
  • i just talked to my bf, whos really health conscious, goes to the gym 3 hours a day, and has a nice body...(makes me feel bad that im not in great shape like him ) and he was telling me to not lift any weights. When i did lift weights, my arms turned muscular..not sexy muscular, but kinda like chyna's arms. ..eww , and that was not sexy at all.

i guess ill tone by doing push ups...

anyway, so i did go on the treadmill this morning ...and for lunch, i had a turkey wrap with low fat mayo.....

im not sure how many calories i should be taking in...how do you figure that out?

Here's a link to a Sticky from the Calorie Counters Forum here at 3FC. It's got some very valuable information. Take a look at it.

  • The Daily Plate or SparkPeople.com are both great, free sites for both finding out how many calories you should eat, and helping keep track of them:
