  • I feel your pain, and know what you mean about late night eating. That was my major fault.....sitting in front of the tv and eating. But now i have found that if i eat 6 meals aday at about 200-250 calories each..or if im really hungry..i eat veggies.

i found after dinner, keeping busy with family time,or treadmill or reading or scrapbooking ect
  • Quote: i feel your pain too. I work at a bridal shop and it's depressing seeing all of these thin, fit brides coming in and trying on size 2, 4, and 6 wedding gowns (our sizes are one larger than normal, so they're sizes 0, 2, and 4). I know I'll never wear a size 2 wedding gown, but it's really motivational because I don't want to be shopping in the size 16 dresses for when I get married and want to be like an 8 or a 10 (or smaller!) for my wedding gown.

But that's why we're here, to get fit and healthy and happy!

AMEN, sister! I refuse to get married ever if I have to do it in a size 24 cafe awning! Matter of fact, the prospect of being a fat bride is one of the thoughts that got me going on this weight loss journey - and I don't even have a boyfriend! It finally occurred to me last year that if I got engaged and wanted to lose weight before the wedding, I'd have to have like a two-year engagement to get to where I'd like to be on that (eventual) Big Day. Yeesh!

And as for the sabotaging oneself through binging topic that started this thread - I totally feel your pain. I had lost two pounds in three days last week, hitting my pre-jerkface ex-bf weight on Wednesday, and then went and ate bbq chicken pizza on Friday and a big heavy Chinese meal with beer(s) on Saturday, bringing all my nice progress to a screeching halt and sending me back to where I was two weeks ago, four pounds heavier! *totally disgusted*
I'm with all the other chicks on this thread: all you can do is do better the rest of today and start tomorrow stronger and more motivated. It's only a failure if you don't get it back off!
  • I can relate! All that I can say is to try to leave it behind and start the next day on a positive note. Sometimes this is easier said than done...
  • @freshmanweightorbust:

i'm a sixteen in wedding gowns and that's tight on me. My boyfriend and I aren't engaged yet but we're talking about it and neither of us want to get married fat. I'm lucky I have him to push me along and I push him along. But yeah, I am not going to be a fat bride!
