Must be an American thing - no one has tried anything to fool me today. Forgot that it was April Fool's day.

I read about half way down in your post, starting to really get concerned, got to the part about the cozy blanket of fat, and started Good one!!!

Not a chance. Not a flipping chance could you ever fool us! I'd sooner believe that eating hot dogs and ice cream for three days will make me magically thin (yes, it's a real diet plan ) than believe YOU would give up on maintenance. You, Midwife, are going to be doing squats and eating oatmeal and egg whites when you're 90. And loving every minute of it!

I start reading it and I'm thinking "What in the world's happened to our level-headed Midwife?". I continue on and I know something just doesn't sound right here. This is not our Midwife talking. I couldn't wait to get to the end, because I had to see how it turned out, so I scrolled down and there it was.

I knew you were up to something as soon as I read the title. Maybe from someone else it would have been believable, but not you (which is probably a good thing). It took me until about the second paragraph to remember it was April 1.

I'm touched by ya'll's faith in me!! And WHEN I'm 90 and lifting weights and eating egg whites & oatmeal, it will be due to having such great role models here at 3fc!

My dad's birthday was April 1 so we always called him a fool! He loved trying to pull pranks over on everyone on his birthday. He would have been 83 yesterday (he died in 2007).

LOL, you didn't fool me. When I saw who it was from, I knew it was a joke!

HAHAHA I so totally fell for it for a couple of seconds... but I guess that reading your post on April 3rd instead of the 1st kind of did me in.
