  • Girls - Thanks SO much for the weight input. I also ate through the morning sickness the 1st trimester. As of right now I've gained a total of #15 - and I'm #17weeks today. My goal is to gain between #.5 and #1 a week for the rest of this... that will be manageable to get back off.

Who's still keeping up with the exercise regime? I can honestly say that I do attempt to do something everyday - but most of the time I don't get more then 15 minutes in. I forgot how EXHAUSTING growing a baby is!!!

I'm SOOOO excited - I go for an ultrasound today and that the baby is cooperative and we can find out what I'm having! I know that it's a little early - but generally you can tell at 16 weeks. I'm so excited to find out!

I'm hoping for another girl... but I think it's a boy. I just want to start SHOPPING! and getting the nursery complete!
  • I have only been able to keep up with some light walking. I had some back and hip problems (that were recurring before my pregnancy) pop up again, so I can't really do more than that. And now walking causes BH for me, so I don't take very long walks.

Good luck at the ultrasound! My office told me they wouldn't even look until my 20 week ultrasound.
  • My 3 hour glucose came back fine. Everything seems fine with the pregnancy so far. Measured fine today, heartbeat is fine, no complaints other than some aches and pains. One more ultrasound in 4 weeks to check up on that fluid on baby's kidneys. I had ultrasounds at 20 and 24 weeks, and the fluid had come down between those two, so they just want to check up on it again.

Birth classes in May. I'm excited insurance covered those. I'd like to do a real lamaze class, but those are so spendy. I'm trying real hard to research this stuff since I'd like to go without epidural this time around. Anyone do this and have any tips to share?
Also get to meet with the breastfeeding counselor Thursday. I wish I had this resource when I had my daughters! I had no idea what the heck I was doing.

Just to add, my uterus has become boxing ring and it makes it hard to get to sleep at night sometimes lol.
  • IT'S A BOY!!!

julie - I'm glad everything's going so well for you! I don't have any advice on the non-epidural thing - since i've already asked my OB for one.. 2ce.

I have NO idea what I'm going to do with a boy! OMG - my WHOLE family has GIRLS!!! This is pretty freaky stuff!!!
  • Julie I elected not to take a childbirth class and this is my first! I'm doing lots of reading and also doing some research online.
  • I know it's April, but I didn't want to step on anyone's toes by starting a new thread. I just wanted to say "hello"! I just recently found out that I am pregnant and am due in early December (I think, don't see the doctor for a couple of weeks). DH and I weren't actively trying (well, you know what I mean) so we're suprised but completely happy. We've been married for 3 years, together 5, and have an 11 month old DS.
  • Welcome Scarlett!

Closing this and moving to the April thread:
