  • I usually have 2 slices of 45 cal bread with a wedge of light laughing cow cheese and 2 oz ham

Or a whole grain 'everything' bagel with light laughing cow cheese and ham (usually the garlic and herb for both).

I recently found Zoom Hot Cereal in stores here, and I remember my great grandma making it for me all the time. It's whole wheat and has a slightly different texture than oatmeal. 1 serving is something like 140 cals but 5g fiber. I mix in 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon maple syrup. Though next I'm going to try the stovetop directions (i usually microwave it 2 minutes) and add in 1/4 cup diced apple a little sugar and a little cinnamon. Breakfast is super hard for me to!
  • Quote: Trader Joes now has steel cut oatmeal that cooks in 8 min. Woo hoo.

You can also put the oats in the amount of water called for the night before and then cook in the morning. They'll cook much faster.
Thanks for that tip! I'm going to try this ASAP.

Too bad we don't have Trader Joes. Steel cut oats in 8 minutes would be great.

1/4 cup cottage cheese on light whole wheat toast with black pepper and tomatoes
1T Peanut butter on light whole wheat toast
    Quaker less-sugar-added oatmeal
Whey protein powder with skim milk or almond milk
A smoothie: apple, orange, banana, pineapple blizted in the blender with ice/ice water.

At the weekends (more time) scrambled egg whites on a Weight Watchers whole wheat muffin with turkey bacon, lettuce and tomato.
