The beautiful thing Atkins/ low carb dieting did for me was to really kill the cravings. I'm kind of grossed out by rice and bread now, I can just imagine it sitting in my stomach like a huge log. I was eating even lower calories before, so I'm not sure that's it either.
Hi all, I tried carb cycling and it seems to work well. I only carb up avery 2 weeks or so and only for one day. It seems to shock my body back into losing. Have you ever heard of the "Cheat to lose diet"? I read the book and it looks pretty interesting.
I lost a lot od weight (103 lbs) 4 years ago, and I had a cheat day every 2 or 3 weeks. It helped tokeep me on track, gave me something to look forward to. So I am going to do that again, planned cheat days....Valentines day is one. If you know for sure that you can't get back to low carbibg the very next day, don't try it.
I haven't kept track when I carb up. I go to Curves at least two time a week...and stick to Atkins strictly most of the week. On the weekends, I eat whatever, and I've been successful since doing that. However, I am going to try another whole week and see if I get the same bad result (1 pound gain) but can't bring myself to do it again.
