  • I'm not suppose to carry anything over 5 pounds. I have been resting my labtop on my lap which is like 5.7 without a problem. I'll shift it from my lap to the the table or couch without taking the battery out but anything beyond that I take the battery out. I've also lifted a gallon of milk which is 8 pounds but what can you do a girls got to eat.

I've been successfully able to sponge bath on my own. I just fill the tub up with a little bit of water, sit on the edge and go from there. I didn't try until after the first week. It sucks because you just don't feel clean without taking a real shower.

Otherwise I needed a lot of help the two week or so with most things like washing my hair, cooking, laundry, dealing with the drainage tubes, and putting on the compession garments. At the three week mark I went back to my apartment where I've been doing pretty much everything on my own.
