Chelby, our updated lists are from the newest book, South Beach Supercharged, and we constantly update our information as we receive it from South Beach Diet. All beans are fine for Phase 1, but it's recommended to add them gradually because of the side effects if you aren't used to eating them daily. We've found that a daily helping of beans and dairy will also help to you feeling satisfied and may help prevent headaches and that tired, achy feeling that is sometimes experienced around day 3 or 4. We fondly call it the South Beach flu around here. On Phase 1 you should not be eating pudding since it contains starch, but SF jello is fine.

Try a few drops of vanilla or almond extract in it.
it was 1/2 cup mashed white beans, egg substitute, cinnamon and Splenda. I was trying to do a french-toast-tasting thing. I ate it, and it did fill me up.
