I used to have the same problem as PhotoChick but I've either grown out of it or been lucky with metals the last few years. Dunno.

It's not an everyday solution, but a dab of OTC hydrocortisone can do wonders for wearing a pair of earrings that irritate a little.

I just love earings. I have all different styles and colors, from plain small hoops, big hoops, silver, gold, pink, blue etc etc. lol

I guess my favorite though, are these clear hoops that are thick half way through, and they have pink designs like, 3D inside of the clear part... or something

i like all sort of earrings as long as they aren't heavy (to stretch my ears) and they aren't too long (long like.. come down to my shoulder).

I used to wear a pair of small hoop all the time, but not anymore. Wearing earring all the time made me a bad habbit of lazy to change earrings. That's why i take my earrings off everytime i come back home now

typical cheap earrings irritate the heck out of my ears (you know, the kinds you'd find at Claire's or something). But I recently gauged my ears again (first time since college) and I have these funky spirals shaped like half a heart (i put them together and they make a perfect heart!) that are surgical steel i guess, cause they don't bother me at all.

I'm along the lines of the one-set crowd... I like earrings that go with everything and don't irritate or poke or pinch me. pretty low-key.

dominodreams, you probably have a nickel allergy too. I'm also amongst the unlucky allergic ones and can usually only wear silver or gold, and even then not always. Some surgical steel is ok for me, and other pairs are not - I guess there are different manufacturing standards for it.

I don't wear earrings every day (my holes stay open no matter how long I go without them), but my favourite earrings are dangly ones. I have a couple of pairs I made, with some very nifty silver and amethyest beads that I looove. I also have a few pairs of bedouin earrings that I love too.
