  • Sophie I didn't run across to many Stephanie's in my day to day life until I met DH and his sisters name is also Stephanie AND she has the same middle name to boot! Now we are Brian's Stephanie and the other Stephanie! Ah the poor neices and nephews get so confused!
  • Stephanie I never knew anyone called Stephanie when I was young and I'm 64 now. Its a very popular name now in Canada and especially with French Canadians and everytime I'm in the mall and someone calls their kid I jump.
    Sophie
  • Busy busy busy here! I took a mini lunch break just so I could check in with you guys looks like the whole week will be caotic.

    Hang in there everyone!
  • Anybody remember how I was going nuts on Friday and Saturday looking for something I needed to mail? It was beads I didn't need anymore that I had sold on Etsy; I really didn't want to refund the $, even though it wasn't that much. I was getting set to do that tonight, but I said to myself that I would take one last look today and I just yelled right out loud because I FOUND THEM. I had pretty much given up. I'm so pleased, especially because it wasn't that far into my cleaning, only about an hour. I'm going to celebrate by taking the time to make myself a nice big healthy lunch. Hmm, let's see... I have chicken sausage, a couple types of mushrooms, maybe I'll add some spinach... Yum!
  • Hello everyone quick flyby to many to post personals.

Cat Olay has an inshower body lotion that works great- my skin has been so soft the only thing I have to use lotion on is my hands since I wash so much. you might try that.

    Everyoen have a good day
  • I noticed that quite a few SB chickies are having pizza made with WW flour. How many slices can you have? Or do you go by weight? Which would be hard considering you have toppings on it.

    Sophie
  • Sophie - depending on what is on the pizza - if it is just veggies, I'll have a bit more than if there is meat on it. I usually hold myself to a maximum of 3 moderate slices.

Hobby Lobby was fun. I found a bunch of things that I wanted to get, but wasn't sure if I had anything like it at home. I have to search through my x-mas stuff and make sure I'm not duplicating.
  • Sophie, if I'm having regular pizza made with ww crust, I'll usually have 2 slices for a serving. But I love the thin crust Kashi pizzas, and will have 1/2 of one for a serving.
  • Thanks Zeff - I will make a whole wheat pizza dough soon.
By the way - finished grandson's hat, it looks like a hemlet hat the early airplane pilots use to wear, hope it fits. He's 15 months at the end of Nov.
    sophie
  • Thanks Cottage , I don't think we have a kashi pizza in Canada.

  • Hello chicks, I have been battling a nagging headache all day. I think it's a combo of tension, not drinking enough water over the weekend, turning on the heat in the bedroom without getting the humidifier set up. I am with you Cat I dry out like a prune in the winter. DH stopped to see his mom on the way home from Dubai and brought a suitcase full of savon de Marseille - we were almost out. Maybe you can get it around you or order it? It is made with olive oil and the only thing that doesn't give me that itchy winter skin. Very mild, hypoallergenic, and also biodegradable/green.

Sophie, I count one slice as a bread serving. Just my guess. I am stingy with bread. I also like to make a pizza on a WW pita, and I can eat the whole thing then. Yum, piled up with veggies - haven't had one of those in a while!

I put a crockpot full of apples on and I will have fresh warm applesauce for breakfast tomorrow, yummmm!

Laurie, I had a nice easy meal tonight, I picked it up at Aldi's. It was a bag of frozen veggies with a marinara sauce packet and they called it an Italian Stir Fry. beans, zukes, mushrooms, red peppers, etc, and surprisingly the sauce was very low sugar. I threw in some precooked chopped chicken breast and sprinkled with parmesan. It was so quick and good.

KK, going to read Harry Potter with the kiddies then turn in. This head has taken it out of me today.
  • Food not perfect, did get an upper body workout and a Core class in. The Core class is only 30 minutes, but is all crunches and ab work on a big ball. OUCH!

I am tired tonight and am looking forward to 5 days off to rest and rejuvenate.

Promise to do more personals tomorrow- I hate just logging and on and not chatting more.

Off to read books to the girlies!
  • Hey chickies! I wish I had more energy to do personals tonight but I am just drained... I did weigh in today at weightwatchers and am down 3lbs... so I am hoping joining was a step in the right direction! so nice to have a friend go with me for support too... and all my sbd stuff sure makes a difference in my diet, I am just using the ww thing for portion control and accountability...

SO, dh bought me a wii fit tonight! It was supposed to be for xmas but he couldn't sneak it in the trunk before I came out of another store apparently he had been trying to buy it several days and couldn't find one, so when he saw it he had to buy it its pretty cool, I couldn't let him wrap it up after knowing what it was lol

Soaking beans to cook for tomorrow... I found a white bean and barley recipe I think I am going to try... with carrots and celery and stuff, if its good I will post it later!

Thanks for the bread machine info cyndi!

OK- I am off to relax didn't get a lot accomplished today- tomorrow will be better!
  • Rikki - glad you like your wii fit....one of these days, I'll cave and get one

    -
DS doesn't seem to be getting any worse which I guess is a good sign. He has had a bit of the sniffles all day, but he's been eating vitamins all day and they seem to have helped him. I'm optimistic that this won't last long.

Assembled a pie tonight to freeze - cranberry raspberry with a lattice top. It should be pretty. I was going to make the pecan pies and freeze them but after thinking about it, I think the custard-y filling might make the crust soggy.

Alright, back to dinner dishes. DH is watching monday night football and has completely checked out for the night. I wish he would assemble my bookcase....maybe tomorrow?

    Night, girls!
  • Sorry to hear about the headache, Schmoodle. It can really muck up your whole day when your head hurts so badly. Your pita pizza sounds like a tasty meal, I'll have to try that sometime.

Kiko: You go girl! That workout sounds KILLER. Hope it does a good job making up for the not so perfect eating today. Enjoy your time off.

rdw: Ooh, you lucky girl! You'll have to tell up how you like your new Wii Fit. Good luck with Weight Watchers!

Me: Looks like I am in the same boat with Zeff's DS... a mild case of the sniffles this morning has now blossomed into a full-blown cold. I am loading up on Emergen-C, taking tomorrow easy, and generally keeping my fingers crossed that I will feel better by T-day.
