  • I used it when I ran. It helped me to steady my breath and my pace. Also just to focus on something other than my feet hitting the ground or how far I've gone. I don't like using my ipod in the gym or when I'm walking because I hate feeling like I'm not paying attention to what's going on around me.

    Same here. I'm enough of a clutz as it is.
  • I usually take my ipod to the gym as they play some awful music in there sometimes. If I didn't have it I'd never get through my workout!!
  • Always... it motivates me. I have a mix of stuff on my Ipod, something for everything I do when working out. I'd be lost w/o it.
  • It depends. I love listening to music and often do while I'm working out, but sometimes I want to just completely zone out and be quiet while I exercise. After a full day at work and school talking to people, listening to people talk, etc. I sometimes just want to move my body and zone out my mind.
  • I either listen to music or a podcast.

    some ppl have told me to not listen to my ipod bc it would be easier to meet boys that way. i usually roll my eyes at them. lol
  • Definitely tunes. I get into the beat and tend to workout even harder... I have to be listening to upbeat fast music, techno is perfect!!!
  • If I'm at the gym, I listen to music or watch their TVs.

    If I'm walking in my neighborhood, I'll had one headphone in....that way I can still hear cars.
  • When I'm on the treadmill I have to have my music. It keeps me going, and helps me to focus on something other than how long I have left to go. Otherwise, when I am doing my TBL dvd - nope.
