My fingers are shrinking?

  • I've lost three rings sizes since I started losing weight. Thankfully, I had no truly expensive rings.
  • It definitely happens. My mom recently lost a lot of weight and not only did her fingers shrink, but so did her feet. She went down a half shoe size in some brands, and a shoe size in other brands. I can't wait until my chubby hands and feet shrink!
  • I went from a ring size 11 (I know, right?!) to an 8 and I'm still shrinking. =]
  • Coming from someone who works in a jewelry store... some of you have INSANELY small fingers! I don't think my store even CARRIES size 3 rings, and I have a hard time rooting through the different styles to find size 4s for people, lol.

I'm a size 6 on my ring finger, but I'm not sure that's changed all that much, hehe.

Awww, there was this maybe... 12 year old girl who came in, who was rather chubby, and had size 11 fingers... and the poor girl, like.. NONE of our rings fit her. I felt terrible, she looked so disappointed. And I mentally cursed our supplier for not sending us larger rings.
  • funny seeing a thread like this. I barely ever wear jewelry and had a ring on yesterday, I made kind of a fast move to swing my purse on my bed, and my ring flew right off my finger!
  • Oh yeah, finger shrinking is a great thing! I always thought I was just destined to have chubby fingers, but now they're downright normal looking!
  • I was looking at my hands the other day, thinking how long and slender they looked. I'm sure they've gotten smaller.

My feet have gotten smaller also, I am able to fit size 11 shoes. I used to wear a solid 12.
  • That would be AWESOME if my feet shrank(although they dont look chubby, and I have always worn this size even when I was 60lbs lighter). But I dont EVER wear jewelry and I can tell taht my fingers have gotten smaller with only 7lbs gone. The bones are more pronounced. I guess for a prize when I lose all my weight I will have to go out and buy myself a NICE ring! Just for fun
  • holy smokers! My ring size was a 9.5 and my wedding set is loose now. I was lamenting at work today how I can't write very small on cakes while other decorators can and we concluded it's because of my giant piano playing hands.
  • My ring finger has gone from a size 10.25 when I got my class ring in high school to a 6.5 when I was trying on rings last week at the store. Pretty strange. I'm kind of worried because if my fingers drop below a 6 I'll have a much harder time trying to buy costume rings in the store! Haha.

My feet have also shrunk a lot. I went from a size 10/11 to a solid size 9 in most shoes... sometimes a 9.5. I hope they don't shrink more (even though I suspect they probably will) because I just bought some shoes that I absolutely adore, including a pair of Doc Martens and a pair of Kenneth Cole Reaction boots that I got on sale for $24 marked down from $140!
  • I've lost about 50lbs...and 2 ring sizes! Rings that I used to tightly wear on my ring finger are now loosely fitting my middle finger. It's an awesome feeling!
