Jolie,
I agree with Dave (by the way, hi Dave! Nice to meet you.) - personally, I am not a friend of delivered meals. I understand that with 2 kidlets you are pretty busy but start cooking and focus on clean eating. I live alone but I cook in huge quantities - I am used to eating the same stuff for a couple of days and I always freeze something for later. It comes very handy. I typically cook 2 different meals so that I have at least something else for dinner than what I had for lunch.
For example, this weekend I was busy with other stuff and did not do any cooking. I was happy to pull out 5 turkey breasts from the freezer (already done) which I can have sliced on a salad or with half of a sweet potato or veggies for lunch at work.
Winter is upon us - although you may not feel it as much in Atlanta as I do in Ontario - in winter, I love soups. I make all my soups from scratch and very often, they are thick like sauces (often I puree them). Again, excellent for freezing.
Pasta sauce - I start with a canned pasta souce as a base but I add a huge mountain of grated veggies (parsley + celery root, kohlrabi, carrots) - I also add diced peppers, zucchini, what have you - etc. I end up with a large amount of pasta sauce and half of it goes into the freezer.
