  • well, it is the beginning of the third week, and I probably gained the five pounds I lost back, but I am scared to look. I did good on the first weekend, but this second weekend I bombed, badly. and someone else said, is it because your too regimented during the weeks? and I do believe I have been too gung ho about it and need to do things a little differently. I feel your pain. It kills me on the weekend.
  • I have the same problem. Just take it one day at a time.
  • I think we all find weekends hard! For me, I have days off work & I don't go to school either. It's easier to stay on track when there are other things keeping you occupied. I've found that if I don't keep "bad" stuff in my house, I don't eat it! Of course I do worse on weekends, but it's really improved since I've changed my way of shopping. I still do have to keep "bad" stuff in my house, I mean, I have a 3 yr old & a husband who dont' have weight issues. But I've figured out if I shop with ME in mind it's easier. That way I have my own healthy alternatives at home if I want something to eat, so instead of eating the cookies my husband loves, I have grapes or a Warm Delights Mini!
  • I feel your pain too. For me I get so busy on the weekends that I just end up forgetting to eat. Then towards dinner time I realize this and end up bingeing on something like pizza or buying a candy bar along the way. So, I usually pack snacks of fruit and almonds so that I have something healthy to snack on and as a reminder to eat.

I never thought I'd see the day when one of my biggest problems is forgetting to eat.

Gosh, that's me too. I've gotten better about making sure I get a good breakfast before we dash out of the house to do "stuff" but there are a lot of times we end up running around all day and I won't get around to eating again until dinner time.
  • is pasta really bad for you?....
if its cooked in unsalted water and accompanied by a tomato sauce?....
  • Pasta is not inherently bad. Very few things are inherently bad, so it helps to move away from the idea of bad food vs. good food.

Can you eat a single serving of pasta? Does it fit within your calorie range (or whatever plan you're using to diet)? If so, then there's nothing wrong with eating pasta.

If you wanted to make it a little healthier, then you could cook whole grain pasta instead of plain pasta.

    .
  • I eat pasta all the time - but I use my food scale to measure out a serving of dry pasta
