Hey chicas! It really is holiday season now isn't it? I'm off on mine on the 27th (counting down the days) and still 25lbs away from my goal, but my goal was probably too big, as usual.

How has everyone's weather been? It was glorious on saturday then bucketed down with rain for the next four days, but it dried up today so I'm hoping it will be sunny again this weekend and I can whip my new sunnies out again

I've been feeling really down since monday, so I missed the gym earlier this week, but I'm draggin my butt down there in half an hour or so, then going to pick up some food and make loads of healthy meals to freeze for work.

I've also been on my own for the past two weeks, but the bf is back in 7 days, so I'm looking forward to that I hope everyone is having a good week

Hi everyone, just call me sporadic, I am rubbish at posting and rubbish at dieting and pretty much rubbish full stop. Can you tell I am a bit bleurgh today? LOL
So weight loss appears to have stalled so I am trying to kick start it by eating more, think I got too low on my calories and changing my exercise and it doesn't really seem to be working. I have been same weight for last 3 weeks and that is slightly frustrating. However I know if I just keep doing what I am doing then the weight should start to move again. Measured myself and I've lost some inches as well.

I go on holiday to Portugal next Friday and I can't wait. Bikini doesn't fit properly so I'll be in my old one - tell me this, how can I lost 2 inches from each thigh but no inches from my bum? Damn that hourglass shape thing LOL

Anyway I am looking forward to baking my bones to bits when I am away and then when I get back I am hitting the gym hard - because at end of August I go to Lesvos. Lucky mare aren't I having two holidays

BBQ tomorrow for all the people who are going to Portugal together - 24 of us! You just know it's going to be chaos

I weighed in at 196.4 today so I'm officially back in ONEderland and am a mere 1.4lbs away from having shed my 1st stone since my latest weight loss journey (hopefully it will also be the last), so I'm in a good mood, even though I didn't make it to the gym this morning.

I got massacred by a mosquito on saturday night and have reacted really badly to the bites, but they seem to be less fierce thanks to some calamine lotion, so hopefully they won't be so painful or swollen tomorrow. It doesn't bode well for my holiday and I'm def going to bring some lotion with me, but 100mls won't stretch far if I do get bitten!

My bf comes back on thursday so I'm also happy about that and it's less than two weeks till we fly AND he said he's lost some weight since being away seeing his family, so I'm happy for him too.

I also met my target at work today, so all round, it hasn't been a bad monday. How are all the lovely ladies on this board doing? I hope everything is just as peachy everywhere! Here's for a wonderful tuesday

I am not traveling this week...or next week... but then off to a great music festival in sw Va, camping out with family and hearing great music and connecting with my hippie roots. : ) In the meantime, working out and going to the pool several times a week; have started lifting weights, which feels really good. Am resisting urge to weigh myself until Saturday, urrrrghhh! I tend to get scale-focused.

Hello everyone! My goodness, it's been so long since I checked out the boards!! Part of me just forgot. Part of me is lazy. Part of me hasn't been doing so hot on my plan...*coughcough* The good news is I haven't gained any weight back, I'm just losing really, really slowly because I've been off plan for various reasons. This week I'm back on officially, though. Yay!

Generally speaking nothing interesting happens in my life. Today was different. I'm absolutely giddy after a trip to the Emerald Queen Casino. No, I didn't win any money, I didn't even gamble. I rushed there immediately after work today so that I could catch up with The Wheel Mobile, and act like a crazy old lady on bingo night, all for a chance to audition to be on Wheel of Fortune. If you click the link it tells you about it, but basically here it is:

-You show up and get in line to get in to the "show", and fill out all your info on a little card. There are 3 shows a day for however many days they're in town. Only so many people allowed into each show.
-Cards go in the hopper.
-Cards are pulled randomly out of said hopper, 5 at a time, and if they call your name you get to go up on stage and play a mini-version of the Wheel and win ridiculous prizes like a Wheel of Fortune fanny pack. You are filmed.

This is the initial audition. If you don't get on stage, you can keep coming back to each show until you get up there (or not). They pick people from these groups to attend the final audition held a couple months down the road. If they like you after that you get to go on the show.

I went last time they were in town in 2006, and did not get called at all, boo. I went today, missed the first show due to work, just barely got into the 2nd show (we were the last 2 people they let in) and did not get called. I noticed while watching that almost every card "Vanna" pulled out of the hopper was all crumpley. We left and got back in line for the last show of the night. I crumpled like ****. Lo and behold, I got called up in the 2nd group of contestants!! ...and just about spilled my drink I was so shocked. They want you to be excited and have energy and personality and all that, and lucky for me that's how I get when I'm nervous. When "Pat" asked me what I like to do in my free time, blah blah blah, I made the mistake (or not?) of saying I like to sing. He then proceeded to put the mic in my hand and ask me to sing something. I did a tiny wee bit of Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend (my audition song for tomorrow, hah) and got a standing ovation from about 1/2 the audience. He then made a joke about opening the phone lines and voting at the end of the show. The mini-version of the show is basically just like the Toss-Up puzzles on TV, take turns calling letters, and if your letter is there you get 3 seconds to solve. I SOLVED THE PUZZLE! I really thought the 3 people ahead of me would've gotten it...but they didn't. I freaked out. It was awesome. Just because you got on stage and/or solved the puzzle doesn't mean you get to go to the next audition, though, they have to like you, or you have to have what they're looking for in a contestant or whatever. I hope they liked me, I know the audience did. *squee*

Now I just sit back and wait to hear if they want me to come to the final audition. I hope so. I want to go on the show and win money. Seriously.

That was my excitement for the day.


Tomorrow is my audition for the local playhouse's first musical of the year. Callbacks are the same night, which is unusual, but I hope I get to stay for the whole thing.

Man, vacations ahoy! i'm so jealous! It seems most of my time off is spent coddling relatives who come to visit. Ah well. But i DO have a great music festival this weekend (in town), a trip to Minneapolis next weekend (at least it's out of state!), and in August, a beach trip to... Delaware (hey, it's ... Delaware!). It's not Portugal or Paris, but i'll take what i can snag, i guess.

Right now i'm trying to motivate myself to go to the gym. But my inner 3-year-old is pouting and kicking like you wouldn't believe.

Hello everyone!

I guess everyone (including myself) has been busy with work, holidays and the usual summer activities.

Hope all is well with all of you. Nothing to exciting to report in my part of the world. This weekend is a long weekend in Canada. DH will be spending it shooting a movie (he is acting in it) and I will be taking the opportunity to paint my kitchen while he is out from under my feet.

We will be having people over on Sunday evening for a BBQ and movies later on.

I am crawling back again lol didja miss me!!! I gained 9lbs being naughty and off plan for the last...couple months. But I am back on track now. I started last week at 181 I am down to 175. My dh has set goals for me by august 18 when we go on our mini trip to niagara falls. Is I reach 170 I get a new outfit, 169 that plus socks, 167 that plus bathingsuit...and so on until 155 is 300 dollars (he also wrote beside that good luck lol) I am aiming for the bathingsuit at least. by the way I am UBER jealous that everyone has such interesting lives...

everyone who went on trips...I am super jealous but hope you had a good time. I will make it to europe someday...

Meow: tell us when you know about wheel of fortune that is super exciting I love that show I used to watch it with my grandma everynight at 7..she passed away a couple years ago but that show always makes me think of her

ok here is my life in a nutshell lately. My photography has been doing great I got a job freelancing for my local paper they pay crap but I love the job and its awesome being treated as press I went to a open house to take pictures I got offered champagne, wine, gormet sandwich and cheeses...it was awesome although I chose not to drink on the job lol. I am going to niagara falls on august 18 for 2 nights and visiting marineland which I am uber exicted about I love dolphins, whales etc..Although I am not one for zoos or aquariums normally I really like marinelands set up
also a friend from the family made it on canadian idol. I started his fan club on facebook and have been running that he is now top 7 (YAY) and I am super excited his name is drew wright for any of you fellow canadians (mauvis).
I will be sticking around this time I promise

Hi everyone. Going to see the X Files movie with some friends tonight, then I have the weekend off to chill, hooray! I will finish knitting a hat for the upcoming cool weather seasons, and I'll pull apart the first one I made which turned out SERIOUSLY ugly (seriously). Work has been uneventful, though I suppose working in a sandwich shop is rarely an eventful experience anyhow. I've officially lost 15 lbs which makes me SO excited. I didn't get into either play I auditioned for but that's ok 'cause I'll probably end up volunteering there during the shows anyhow

Of course I'll let you all know if I ever hear back from the Wheel of Fortune people. I haven't heard anything yet, but then it's still pretty early on after their original visit. Either I'll hear more later on, or I'll hear absolutely nothing at all *shrug* Either way it was fun to audition

And I'm STILL waiting for my IRS stimulus check to come in the mail.....anyone still not have theirs? I'm giving it another week then calling or something to see where my money is. They said it would be here by the 19th of June
