Gonnabe - Good luck getting everything completed that you need to get done today!

Me - Well, yesterday was fabulous! The majority of women in my family all went down to Glen Ivy Hot Springs for a day of relaxation and pampering. We had a wonderful time laughing and floating and eatting and drinking. The weather was PERFECT! For the most part I stayed OP (I only strayed by having a mimosa and some grape salad that had brown sugar in it). It was a wonderful day. When I got home I was so tired from the sun that I ended up falling asleep around 8:45; which means I missed Survivor (Thank God for TiVO). Planning on watching it tonight. I hope you all had a great weekend!
    ENJOY!!!
  • Hello, everyone. I hope all the mommies had great Mother's Days!

Anyway, we got back from camping about 10:30 yesterday morning, has some breakfast and took naps. It was nice to be able to sleep in our bed again. Camping is fun, but it definitely makes us appreciate what we have here.

I've been having some bad heartburn for the past few days. Not sure why.

Today, the cable guy came out to fix the cable modem and Calvin is going down for a nap in a few minutes. I'm hard boiling some eggs at the moment for lunch. I'm picking hubs up around 3 to go grocery shopping and to the park for a walk. After the walk, he's making dinner for me He gave me my Mother's Day gift this morning, a wristlet for my keys that I've been wanting for a long time. I was surprised that he had remembered! It's so cute and will come in handy!!

Alright, ladies, off to finish cleaning and getting the kid to sleep. Have a great day!
  • Hi Ladies
Its been a wacko day! I have an emergency podiatry appt after work. My baby toe looks like a red bliss potato!
    I'm wearing a "boot"
It's day 1 Ph 1.5 today! (it would be 1 but I have light yogurt not plain) and so far I feel good and in control! I'm taking a sledgehammer to this plateau if it kills me! well not kill but after yesterday I don't need to see bad carbs for a LOONG time!
Ok gotta run I'll post when I get home!
    Kier
  • Hi, all!

Busy morning, so this is a quick fly-by!

KO, hope your toe feels much better soon!

Huge to Cyndi and Nessa! What good work you're doing! Cyndi, that's such a phenomenal thing--to realize you're not fat anymore...and to get your head to believe it! Congrats! Nessa, just focus on the downward trend. Maybe you can make a chart with a line graph to show how you're going Dooooowwwwwwnnnnn! 217??? That's FABULOUS!!!

Heather, your Mother's Day sounds fabulous!

    Me:
Off to the gym after work. I have book club tonight--I have mixed feelings about it. I loved the book (Eat, Pray, Love) but we have a bunch of newbies coming tonight and I feel a bit shy about talking about personal stuff in front of them...plus with so many people, I'm afraid most of us won't be able to get a word in. We'll see. For the fifteenth time, my book club showed that they don't get my diet--we're having Sicillian pizza for dinner and cannolis for dessert. I'm bringing a greek salad and a cooked chicken breast for myself so I have something to eat. Oy! I love the girls who usually go, though, so I'm excited to hang out with them.

Hope everyone has a great day!
  • Kier, good luck with the toe emergency!
cottage, thanks so much! My latest resolution is to make dessert at least once a week. My theory is that this will keep me from feeling deprived. So I will definitely be trying these in the near future, if I can decide which to pick!
Pearlrose, you know you are in the zone when the cookies don't even call to you!
lc, glad you are drying out and sounds like you are feeling better too! We had about 4 inches of rain last night and our basement flooded. DH pumped it out this morning and we will spend the next couple of days drying it out. Good thing I don't store stuff down there. It's an old stone foundation and dirt floor and no way it will every be completely dry.

Thanks for the good thoughts ladies. The doctor wants us to try Zantac for DD. She gets sick stomachs a lot after she eats. Sometimes headaches too, and car sick very often. The doc is thinking acid reflux, but I'm not so sure. But it's the first step I guess in figuring it out. I was actually wondering about ulcers. She is the kind of kid that seems happy-go-lucky, but has lots of stress under the surface. She says it's more pain than nausea and she never actually vomits.
I am actually looking forward to my dental appt. I love to get my teeth cleaned - I know I'm weird lol.
I am so sleepy - stayed up late watching Survivor, then got up early and worked for a couple of hours before breakfast. Think I'll go make another cuppa.
  • what did you do to your toe???

ouchies i hope it gets better soon!
  • I have scouting activities every night for the next 9 days. WHEW! I will be glad when camp is over! I've gotten probably a dozen phone calls and another 6 or so emails today from people needing help registering. And on top of that all, I have gotten over a dozen emails from my can't-come-soon-enough for me ex-husband. At least I have an idea of what he put in the proposed settlement so I made an appointment to meet with my lawyer on Thursday to draft a counter proposal.

To top it all, he wants Brian for two weeks in early july and two later so he would have him for his birthday and the weekends before and after. I'm not agreeing with that. He was asking for all of July until he realized he would have to take him to swim lessons and then he changed dates so I take him to swim lessons.

His emails were just not nice and were very stressful. He wants me to drop the restriction that he can't come within 500 feet of my work or home. And he wants me to let him come to Brian's pool party for his birthday at the house. I don't think so! That would make Brian as uncomfortable as it would make me.
  • Hi all --

I had my 6 month colonoscopy and the dr. said I will have another IC attack eventually, it looks healed now, give it another 2 weeks more on meds, then back to eating fresh fruits and veggies...

I can not tell you how excited I am!

It's been a rough few months with a car accident while I was in NY with a sick mom, who passed a week later. Then I switched jobs and moved all within 2 darn weeks!

So, back to it. We bought a treadmill 2 weeks ago but can't get it down to the basement

Oh the joys! I will spend some time catching up this week and next. So I am making my start date June 1!! I can't wait for Phase 1!
