  • Just finished Plum Loving by Janet Evanovich. Waiting for number
14 to come out. Also working my way thru Harlan Coben books.
    Currently reading The Woods.
My 'book on the go' is Proust and the Squid - a book about the
science and art of reading - I read anything that comes out
on dyslexia (tutor and mom of a dyslexic genius ;-)

    Also finished Jim Butcher's latest.
Waiting for Charlene Harris' latest vampire cozy.
    Read lots of thriller chillers.
I get very antsy if I don't have a pile of books waiting
to be read. Right now my book box is EMPTY!

  • Just finished Everyman this morning and am getting ready to start To Kill A Mockingbird later today...loved the movie but never read the book, I don't think.
  • Number 10 (Sue Townsend)
  • Finished "Change of Heart" by Jodi Picoult a couple of weeks ago for my book club at work - I liked the book, thought it was intriguing. First book of hers I've read, and I would like to read more by her.

Just started "Duma Key" by Stephen King. I haven't had the time to really get into the book yet, but so far I'm enjoying it. I have always liked King, so I'm sure I will like this one.

Got a question, are the between the number Plum books good to read if you have only read a couple of the number books, or will it give away any surprises? ( Sorry if that sounds like a silly question )
  • Quote: Finished "Change of Heart" by Jodi Picoult a couple of weeks ago for my book club at work - I liked the book, thought it was intriguing. First book of hers I've read, and I would like to read more by her.
I just read both Plain Truth and My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. Both were very, very good!
  • Hello!

I just finished reading "The Namesake" for the second time. I am in a book club and this was the book for April.

Now I am reading "Marley and Me," again for the book club, and AGAIN, for the second time.

I will finish this one quickly and then begin June's book "The Poisonwood Bible." (Yay--a book I haven't read before!)
  • I just finished Hold Tight by Harlan Coben (excellent book!) and Compulsion by Jonathan Kellerman (okay) and am about 1/5 of the way through The Other Boleyn Girl by Phillipa Gregory. I'm not really into romance novels (which this is in a way) but wanted something set in that time since I finished the two books by Ken Follet: World Without End and Pillars of the Earth which I loved so much I'm sure I'll read them both again.
  • I usually have a couple going at once. For health and motivation I just finished "Confessions of a Carb Queen". I am in the middle of reading one of the "Biggest Loser" books. For personal pleasure, I am reading the "Dark Series" by Christine Feehan for the second time. She is my all time favorite author.
  • I am currently reading "In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto" by Michael Pollan, it is really interesting, a lot of non-standard ideas. I am only about 1/4 of the way through. Anybody read it?
  • >>Got a question, are the between the number Plum books good to read if you have only read a couple of the number books, or will it give away any surprises?<<

No, there are not any spoilers in the 'between the number' books.
They have a supernatural twist in them, and, as I recall, both
males of interest are off someplace else (on assignment, undercover).
Same, funny, off the wall slapstick from Stephanie and Lulu.

  • Book 6 of the Incarnations of Immortality series (there is 8 books total)
  • Just finished The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, both excellent.

Now reading Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace . . . One School at a Time by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin, also excellent.

If you liked Picoult try her novel My Sister's Keeper. I think it is by far her best.
