There is nothing wrong with taking medication for depression. It has changed my life. I am on Celexa. Too many think there is a stigma or they can do it without meds when life can be so much better.
when my husbands mother had breast and then brain ca i did take the med. but it think in four months time, when she died i could not shed a tear. it was just not me. i know that some people have to take it and if i have to i will. i just want to try on my own, with this therapist and my friends and yall to maybe look at life different. thanks
I have taken Welbutrin every winter for many years...I wouldn't have made it through those dark and dingy seasons as comfortably as I did without them.
This year, however, I didn't have to take them. I stuggled with depression a bit as you could tell by my posts but as you said, counselor... exercise... friends... family... weightloss, has helped me tremendously. And I decided to deal with the down feelings without that artificial high feeling.
There is something to be said for taking the AntiD's for say...6 months and then come off...it changes your chemistry so that you don't have to fight so hard to keep your mood up. So if you do decide you need a little asistance, you don't have to say it's forever.
