  • Marie ~ Please let us know how you like the game for the Wii.
I have a Wii and would probably use that one more than the ps2. I have never tried DDR and am not even sure where to buy it?? Like Best Buy or?? How much is the one for the Wii? I think I saw a game for it at Wal-Mart...but it didn't have a pad. I am assuming the bundle packages mean it comes with the pad?
  • I bought the bundle at Shopko (I don't know how widespread shopko is -- It's like a kmart) for 69.99. I did it for 45 minutes last night. It was so much fun. I don't know what the other ones are like so I can't tell you if it's better or worse than any of the other. It's DDR Hottest party. I wish it had a few more songs, but otherwise I had a blast with it. I can only do the beginner ones yet. I am really uncoordinated, I don't know if I'll ever get past beginner. But I am going to keep trying.
  • yes, I work out to DDR also. My fiance' has it rigged up to the computer some how and not only do we have the DDR we have Tekken (a fighting game), & tennis. With tekken we use the actual Wiimote to punch and the DDR pad to kick!! It is a work out!!
  • Quote: Man I used to love playing DDR!!! I lost the pad, though.

I know I know it's terribly difficult to lose a DDR pad, but stranger things have happened...

Does anyone know how much the pads go for? Maybe I'll just shell out a few and buy a new one...
we got two pads from ebay. Not the actual DDR pads but off brand for $15.00 but they work just the same!
  • To those of you who have the Wii version, are the songs originals or are they covers? I had looked up the song list and I thought it had a much better variety of more modern popular songs (I hate the really techno stuff that comes with a lot of the other versions). But someone told me they were covers, so I want to make sure the music is at least GOOD before I get it. And what do the red octane or metal pads go for? I HATE using the ones that came with the game, it moves around so much.
  • I love DDR! I have it for the PS2. They have it for almost every newer system though. Such a good workout!
  • The steel pad I purchased from amazon.com was roughly $200. If you want a top of the line arcade style pad, it will cost you about $300 but if you're serious about it I think it would be sooooooo worth it.

I'm so happy to hear all the responses from you all who love playing DDR for your exercise. To those of you who are playing the newer DDR games (extreme or supernova versions) and have playstation 2 online hooked up, I'd love to play against some of you online some time. Now THAT would be fun.

    Anybody interested?
  • I have DDR for the Wii. Yes the songs are cover versions and are pretty techno but still enjoyable. I love the Wii version as you can set it so that you play with the remotes as well, it will have you shake the remote on certain steps so that you work your arms and not just your feet. I believe I bought mine for $59 or $69 (this was b4 Thanksgiving last year so I can't quite remember). It is a lot of fun and has the exercise section so you can set your weight and tell it that you want to play for so many minutes or until you burn so many calories. The calories burned are based on how well you do on the song I would definitely recommend it!
