  • none of the multigrains are whole wheat. none of the low carb options are whole wheat.

truth is i use very little pasta... maybe a touch in a cassarole as a side but since a serving is just 1/2 cup that's not a lot. and i only use whole wheat. rotini, or penne usually.
  • Quote: Kara, What brand are the twists? We have tried Barilla and like it. We were reading labels the other day on Barilla and Dreamfield and bought the Dreamfields, havent tried it yet though. Is the Dreamfilds "whole wheat" seems for what I remeber, I couldnt tell.
I honestly can't remember and we don't have any in the cupboard right now. I do remember the box is brown, there's a "window" in the front, and it's whole wheat rotini.

And Nessa gave me the best advice EVER of making sure the bury my 1/2 cup pasta serving in a mountain of sauce loaded with protein. I'm a vegetarian, so I use the soy crumbles that are like ground beef. It's a really filling meal - 1/2 cup of pasta with at least a cup of "meat" sauce and a huge salad on the side! Oh, and put away any leftovers before you sit down to eat so you're not tempted to snack on them after you've finished your meal.

  • I was a vegetarian for years and years, but back in....oh.... I believe 2002 (?) I started eating meat again. Funny thing is, I at lots of soy products when I was a vegetarian. Now when I eat them, it feels like I have a small allergic reaction, where soy milk makes my neck break out horribly, and veggie burgers give me a slight itch on the neck. Very odd....
