I have a Dyson -- I got it at Big Lots (reconditioned and a bit of a savings). I'm pretty happy with it. I don't vacuum nearly often enough, but when I do I see LOTS of stuff in the cannister. Go, Dyson! --Sue

I have a Hoover Empower that we bought at Home Depot a few years ago (Home Depot is the only one who carries it I believe.) It has a great pet hair attachment that works amazingly on furniture!
