  • Hey Rafaella,
I have come to the same realization. Every time I would try to diet before I would end of cheating and then just say "what the heck" and go back to my old habits. But I figure if I could just lose 1 lb a week I would be at my goal weight in a year. But if I keep eating my old way I will never get any thinner or healthier. I have decided to make small changes. Starting off with eating 12-1500 cals per day and walking 30 minutes and so far I have lost 8 lbs in about 2 1/2 weeks. The weight will take a while to come off but if we keep making positive changes it will come off. And think about how good we will feel when we are at our goal weight.
  • Little changes is how I got started and now I've lost 101 pounds since January 1st. I started by just eat six meals a day, half my usualy portion size. I made my goal to lose 60 pounds a year, just 5 pounds a month. I lost 20 pounds the first month! I might actually be able to double my original goal. I never thought I could do it. I know if you stick with your plan, which sounds very reasonable, you can do it!!! Once you see results you'll probably be motivated to do even more!

The best part is even if you only lose a few pounds a month you'll still be better off than doing nothing!! I like your attitude and your plan.

    GOOD LUCK!!!
  • mamamona, it feels we´ve been in the same road! When not getting what I want I just said "this is not going to work" but I guess the trick is to keep working even if we don´t get what we want when we want cause eventually we´ll reach our goal!
