Thanks so much for the support guys...To tell you the truth, there are days I feel like just a long walk instead of running, but now that I can run like I do...I feel NOTHING from a power walk...and I mean nothing. My heart rate doesn't go anywhere and it gets me down. After a long run I feel energized and like I worked my body and did something! After a walk I feel like "I just spent an hour doing nothing for my body". I know it's wrong. Anything that involves moving is good for the body. I was soooo excited to go to the gym this morning. I was bookin it at 9.5 mph on the eliptical and I was drenched!! I felt AWESOME! Then I lifted some weights and talked to some old friends there. It was lovely.
I promise I will start mixing up my routine...maybe only run 3 times a week? We'll see how that helps and I'll get the ice in mind. I totally didn't know that heat before and ice after thing. Go figure! Maybe I should use some heat before running?
I think one of the things that has helped me is at my job we have a break every two hours....so I pack something to eat for EVERY break. I find this helps my energy level and helps me to get motivated for my workout after work. I usually take....
-roast beef and turkey sandwich on light bread with lettuce and onion and dijon mustard and 1 serving of pretzels with laughing cow cheese (this would be lunch) OR 1 full can of progresso 100 calorie per serving soups with baked potato on the side and 1 cup of peas. OR a big salad with tuna or chicken and lowfat ranch. (can't seem to eat the FF stuff anymore)
-Variety of snacks include but are not limited to: Lowfat cottage cheese with peaches/rasberry preserves/pineapple; 2 cups of carrots; 2 cups of grapes, RF Wheat Thins, 90 calorie rice crispie treat, 100 calorie packs of anything, 100 calorie yoplait yogurt, turkey jerky
There are a lot of other things I take with me....some of them are more or less because I get a sweet tooth and there are 6, yes, count SIX vending machines in the breakroom and I want to raid them EVERY single day!! It's awful, but I'm learning to resist temptation.
I've been trying to pick snacks that are higher in protein because I've not been getting the 100 grams that I"m used to. Using Fitday made it a lot easier, but my connection is so slow up there that it's almost not worth getting on the net. I know, I know, I can download it.

I'm just lazy I guess.
