I just don't get it

  • I agree with Paige. The more points I use, the more I lose. Let us know how it works
  • I know how you feel. I too attend WW. At first I was losing 4 lbs here, 3 lbs there, but now at 20 weeks and down almost 49 lbs I struggle to lose an ounce or two. It's upsetting and I try to stay positive and take it one day at a time. It seems as you get closer to your goal the weight holds on for dear life. So I started walking for 45 minutes a night with my 11 month old in her stroller (added weight to push around) and I actually had a .2 gain. I freaked......but my instructor told me about my muscles retaining water and she was right....down 2.8 the next week. I'm sure I'll have a gain this week as the weekend was hard. BUT, don't give up! Stick to it and I know it'll eventually pay off. Good luck and know we're with you all the way.
  • I agree with the above posters. Be absolutely diligent with your food intake. Buy measuring cups/spoons and use them.
In addition, if you are between points and are unsure of how many points you should have per day, do go by the smaller number.
Be extra careful about salad dressings and salty foods. They can influence the scale. Hang in there!!!!!
    Congrats on the exercise routine!!!!!!!
  • Thanks for the comments and encouragement.

At the end of another week, still no loss. However, I think it might be my scale (yes, I know, that's what they all say!! )

I weighed myself this morning, and was down 2.5#'s. Hurrah! So I step off and on, re-weighing several times...still the same. Fast forward 30 minutes, and I re-weight myself again...I've magically gained 3#'s. I play the off/on game a few times, still up by the 3#'s. I hadn't had anything to eat/drink in that time, so I know it's not accurate. Also, my pants are getting looser and I've had some co-workers comment that I looked thinner.

So, I've decided to just not worry about it. As long as my clothes are getting looser, I'm happy.

    Thanks again!
