I was thinking about this recently as well. I got mine around 3 years ago and said 230. In reality, I was probably around 275 at the time. I am at 259 right now, and when I get down to 230, it will be the first time I have ever had a true weight on my license. Even when I got a permit at age 14, I lied by like 50 pounds.

Rememberr, why don't you "lose" your license, and go get another one, and request a new picture? I plan to do that. CA makes it so easy. I think it's about $12...

I recently got a new driver's license..my old one was from when I was 16 and said 140...probably accurate then but I know for a fact I was 220+ by the time I got a new one, so there was an 80 pound difference there..And I put down 180 for my weight on the new one...So a 40 pound discrepency then, 20 pounds now. I am going to celebrate the day I get down to driver's license weight!!!

When I got my last driver's license, I put 249 because I had JUST reached 249 and I was very proud. Now I'm a bit above that (though not much) and I'm looking forward to that being accurate!

hehe... my DL weight is actually 5lbs less than my goal weight. I'm not sure why I've always kept it at 150, but it still says that. I know I didn't weigh 150 when I got my current license, I was 225. And when I got my first license I think I was about 165. Hmmmm... it looks like 150 was a totally arbitrary number I pulled from the air.

mine says i am 185lbs when i actually got my license i was around 240lbs so I lied pretty badly. When I got it renewed I just didnt want to change it I would rather it say 185 than 300lbs plus.

Im sure when i get pulled over they must chuckle inside and think as if she weighs 185 lol

Thank goodness Tx doesn't have a place for that, but I have to get mine renewed this month and I'm kind of excited about it. For some reason my son looked at my old one last week and laughed at it. He said I looked so much better now (he's 12 so I know he is not just flattering me). Which is amazing because that picture is about 10 years old! I did lie about my height - I'm really an inch shorter - YIKES I guess I could just say I'm shrinking

This thread made me laugh! I haven't changed my driver's license weight since I was 21 - and even then, I'm not sure it was right. However, I am now about 15 pounds away from making it true - see my ticker below, this is my next (and maybe final) mini-goal!

When I turned 18 and renewed my license, I had them put 150, which was 15lbs less than what I was. When I went last year when I turned 25 to renew my license again, the girl at the counter was verifying information. She asked if my weight was still 150lb...I quietly told her no, 215lb (quite a stretch because I was up to 245 at that point, but in my mind, I'm thinking wow, she actually wanted to know if I wanted to keep 150 on there...only a 100lb difference. I was stretching the truth with 215lb, but no one was going to believe I could possibly be 150lb. I did appricate her not being rude about it though. I can't wait until I can give them a lower number again.

The weight on my license is 250. Im excited because I am close to that weight. I actually looked at my ID on Sunday and saw that it is to be renewed this year in Nov (my b-day). I am excited because by then I plan to be at least another 30 pounds lighter. I cant wait... I will be moving out of state in the Spring (April) so that will be another opportunity to have a driver's license weight. I wont get that license until I am well under 200lbs.

Mine says 220,but I was more like 265 when I got it,and 245 when I renewed it last year.I hate showing my license...the picture is horrible(even though I thought I looked ok that day)and I'm always afraid they'll look at the weight and choke back laughter.

Funny that this was brought up. In June I had to renew, and my DLs said 270 (from when I got them 4 years ago). I said "Can I get my weight changed on there, please?" The lady said, "You don't have to if you don't want to." I said, "OH BUT I DO want to!! It is better now!!" She just laughed! I was SO glad to have that updated and I was glad to see the difference in the two licenses too!! That was a cool golden nugget (or NSV)!!

I'm laughing really hard, but not at you ladies! What's the point in even having your weight listed on your license? If it was soo important, why don't they just weigh you as you're going through? Just another reason to dread going to the DMV

CT doesn't have weight on DLs, thank god, mine would probably be 50 pounds off at the very least.
