  • Hey, I'm game for this, count me in all you UKFC's (think that's brilliant by the way, just visualising the t-shirt complete with website addy just to promote it )

Gonna try the yahoo one now - let you know if I get the evil eye too

    TC all

    (very bloated) Janey
  • I'm game for this too. I've made loads of American / Canadian friends through this site. Trouble is they all work in different timezones & post mainly when I'm sleeping. A good excuse to catch up first thing in the morning at work. Be nice to chat to some people who are awake when I am

What colour will we make those T-shirts of Janeys

    Carol
  • I agree this is a great idea and talk about being blinkered, I must have looked at the forum lists a hundred times and didn't spot this one.
I agree with Carol too, it would be nice to chat with people who are awake when I am and who are eating the same things and buying them all in the same shops.
The overseas friends I have made are fantastic, but it does become difficult at times trying to explain about different foods at least you all here will know what I'm talking about

  • Hi Everyone

I have made some great international friends through the internet as well, but we definitely have different problems from them. I think our biggest one is that our food manufacturers see us dieters as a fairly small percentage of the market and consequently foods aimed at us are expensive and very limited in variety. I know lots and lots of people who like to keep their fat intake low, even if they aren't actively 'dieting' so there IS a market out there but the manufacturers just aren't making the products attractive or competitive enough.

I think the two US products I would certainly buy (were they available in the UK) is fat free sour cream (for baked potatoes) and these skinny cow ice lollies which come in four or five flavours and which are supposed to be absolutely amazing.

About Janey's UKFC T shirts - I kind of lean towards black with sparkly pink or white lettering.... Black is SO slimming, LOL.
  • Black, with pink glittery/sparkly writing - give me a few weeks and I'll do one then post the piccie; what website addy do I put on it though? After all, we don't want weirdo's coming in here ( or do we )

Yes darlings, black is soooo slimming too

Can I wear a glittery wig too ??

    Janey
  • I do think that if wigs are the order of the day, they should match the writing on the tee shirt for that special co-ordinated look

Are we just going naked on the bottom half?????????
  • My husband just peaked over my shoulder and is having to lie down because he is laughing so much!

How about pink satin hot pants on the bottom half??? LOL

Or perhaps a nice pair of black jeans?
  • Hmmm, naked v pink satin hot pants; what a choice

OK OK, pink satin hot pants win - but only if they have silver tassles on them whoo hoo

    You girls !!

    Janey
  • LOL - and silver fringes.... with rhinestones!!!!
  • Are we going to have a tassel swinging from each cheek?? The way my backside wobbles my tassles would certainly swing!!!
  • LOL - Definitely one from each cheek - and perhaps one from (approximately) where the tummy button should be - I think I could get up enough momentum with my tum to make it swing in a full circle!!! Mind you - I think I could make the ones attached to the cheeks do the same thing.

Christmas has got a LOT to be blamed for!!!!
  • I gotta get me some of them pink, satin hot pants ...
  • Oh my!!!! you guys have me rolling with laughter here, just the thought of me swinging tassles from my nether regions was certainly enough to keep me on track to lose weight...ewwww...it wasn't a pretty thought

  • Love the new forum 8-D
Hope everyone has a fantastic new year!
  • My shoe suggestion - hope this works - is this, so we will keep the pink theme going from head to toe
