  • i have been surfing through links about this as well.
I read a lot about Wellbutrin (anti-depressant/anxiety, SSRI)
I currently take effexor XR. But am planning on getting pregnant later this summer, so I was actually just checking the saftey on Zoloft.

But I have heard GREAT things about Wellbutrin, so i would talk to your doctor about it.

(NOTE: Anti-depressant medications should be taken seriously. They increase the risk of suicidal thoughts, and many of them have terrible side-effects. STAY AWAY FROM PAXIL!!)
(I AM NOT A DOCTOR, I JUST TELL WHAT I KNOW)
  • Wellbutrin
I have a co-worker that was taking Wellbutrin and she was planning on having a baby. She went to her doctor and they advised her to get off the meds until after she is finished breast feeding.
  • I took Phentermine for a while and it worked so well for me. I can't get it here where I live so I'm working all this weight off all by myself!!!
  • phentermine?
Where do I get these? Do I have to get it from the doctor? Also I am curious if anyone know of a pill that is over the counter that will decrease my appetite? thanks!
  • RX diet meds
I have taken Xenacal in the past. As long as you stay REALLY low fat its not a problem. Its a wonderful cure for constipation if you don't. In fact you may not make it all the way before she blows.

I wish we could get it OTC like you can in the states now.
  • My doctor put me on Xenical when I went to her to discuss possible options for kicking my WL back into gear. I wasn't too excited about it, but i took them anyway - couldn't HURT, you know?
The pills made me tired, gassy, and bloated, even though i followed the super low fat diet (something I wasn't used to, i've always been more of a calorie counter/lower carb/no sugar/decent amounts of healthy fat person)
I DID lost 6lbs the month I was on it, but the personal expense was too much (I didn't have treatment effects after the first week - i always managed to hold it - but the oily bm's and SMELL were just stomach turning.. that may be TMI, sorry!)
the downside? pre xenical i was ALWAYS regular, no matter how well or poorly i was eating. post xenical (and it's been more than a year) I rely on fiber supplements a couple of times a week, because if i don't things will just sit there - and i am eating a very healthy diet.
my WOE now? It's my own but if i were going to compare it to any plan, i would say it's later stages atkins OWL, or even a little more similar to his maintanence plan. and i'm losing 5-8lbs a month, without the pills.
now, i know they work for some people, and no one i have ever talked to has had the bm problem i have experienced, so it is all in what works for a person. they just were not for me.
