What an all around crappy day!! Payday, too, what a ripoff! Phones rang off the hook, project after special project from the big boss (all due ASAP, of course) and a million property owners coming in the door to make payments. On top of that, my car is broken, but not dead yet. I must have been a sight, every time I parked it and came back I had to fill it up with water! People were giving me some pretty strange looks, let me tell you!

Peach, I quilt and I STILL need lessons, so when you get some, fill me in, okay? Tippy and her sewing room make me soooooooo jealous!

MamaJ, I could kick that shrink in the kneecap for you. They always blame the mother for protecting her children from abuse and "sheltering" and "enabling" them. What are we to do?

Everyone have a wonderful, relaxing weekend and remember me as I sit at the mechanic's with my car and probably my firstborn as payment !

Just enjoying everybody's posts and there's no way I'm going to try to respond to every one of them. Besides, I'm always last in here and nobody every reads my posts.

Anyhow, Ruth, I want one of those puppies. What the heck...I want all of them! WHat a beautiful new Mom. Sure wish I'd looked that good after having my babies.
Well, today I have good news and bad news. My bad news is that I regained the .2 lb that I lost last week. The good news is that it's probably muscle from my strength training so I'm not too worried about it.
The other good news is that my blood pressure was absolutely normal today. I had such a scare last week when it was 170 over 90 but today it was 120 over 70. Actually, I think he just read the numbers upside down last week. LOL
More good news is that my blood sugar has dropped a little and my thyroid is in the normal range. The other bad news is that my foot which has been giving me problems has a bad spot of arthritis in it. Not much to be done about that but I think the glucosamine I've been taking is finally starting to have some effect so hopefully it will be feeling better soon.
Anyhow, the doc was pleased and said to keep on doing whatever I've been doing so I will.

Oh Hensa, when I was in Zimbabwe last year for our daughter's wedding, the new groom's family from S. Africa cooked braai just about every night. Very, very yummy. Loved that boerwoorst (farmer sausage). Hope you have a lovely time.

Well, Linda, just to prove you wrong, I do too read all your posts and I'm glad to hear that your blood pressure is down and I am certainly happy that you're doing strength training. Sounds like you're on your way!

Sherrie....I have tons of questions for you but I think I will wait until you get your car back...you have had enough for one day without me picking at your brain!

I DO TOO READ YOUR POSTS! ALL THE TIME!

I'm on my way to bed after a concert in Smiths Falls - it was the songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's and was just great! This is the group of music students that I performed with last year. This year I am concentrating on piano - not as much fun but no long drives to nightime group rehearsals! Felt kind of sad tonight not being in it - you know - the roar of the greasepaint, the smell of the crowd.

Will post late tomorrow for the weekend. Big daffodil planting bee early in the morning.

Just stopped in for a big "HELLO"... have been so busy with life and work and things happening that I haven't had time to do stuff on the computer.

It's good to see some of the familiar names still posting, I will try and post more often. I sure have missed the support from this site.

LindaBC came to our Art show today and we had our picture taken together... maybe just maybe if it turned out I'll share it with you. OOPS, guess I should check that out with Linda???
