Well partly because of reasons I said. Cruiseships tend to land in the same old touristy spots. So we went to one part of mexico which I had never been but it was completely different than other parts of mexico I had been. Partly because they catered to tourists. Also, instead of travelling around a country to see a country, you are dropped off at different ports. Then you are on a boat and are served pretty typical food and I tend to like something different than I'd get at home.
