  • I haven't gotten into the daily chat stuff yet-so forgive if I havent gotten the hang of responding to each post-stll feel like a newbie on this site.
When I did SBD before-I would forget to eat too-just not hungry and wouldt think about it. My daughter would stop and look at me and quiz me about how much and what did I have to eat that day.-I think you just need to make yourself eat sometimes-so ya dont go wonky.
We got several inches of snow last night-the 2 we had yesterday were gone off the roads-but this new stuff is diffrent and will be with us a while. HATE driving in it-the people around here with 4X4's go as fast as normal cause they can and dont realize they cant STOP-tll they are hitting someone-very scary. Also out where my horses are is quite rural and closer to Mt Rainier-so it gets more snow and stays colder longer-so the roads out there get QUITE hairy. eeek. It is normally a half hour drive and took closer to an hour and 20 minutes the last time we had bad snow.
City busses weren't even running last night so my son had to walk to work ( I told him to take the bus cause I didnt want to drive in it-he got halfway there and at the transit center the driver told him there were no more busses coming out)
I have a cliet that is making me nuts-I am a photographer-most of what I do is portrait work, but have a commercial client, home builder, that purchesed the films and has lost them and seems to think that I have them around here somewhere-I have told them many many times that they were delivered with the finished product, have suggested updating their displays when we had good weather and time-now they are getting ready for a home show ad want stuff YESTERDAY. AAAUUUUCCCKKKKK
ok better call them. At least now I am shooting digital and can make multiple copies of files for future refrence.
Hope everyone stays warm ad cozy
oh and I lost another pound-better update my sig.
    CHEERS!

  • Hi, Beachies!

I feel awful posting in the daily and not responding to everyone, but I just don't have the time anymore. So I'm trying this...just responding to one and not eating my guilt!

Wild Woman, welcome! I think it's awesome that you're a photographer...I love photography but am such a novice. Do you feel you have to learn on a 35mm, or can you learn with a digital camera? I'm thinking of taking a class, but all of them here have you use a 35mm and do darkroom work. I don't mind learning from scratch if that's the best way but I don't want to have to go purchase a 35mm if I don't need it to learn.

I'm doing really badly on the beach, chickies. Pull me in! I went off plan three times recently for traveling and it's caught up with me...after over a year of maintaining, I've gained...a lot. I'm on plan, but eating everything in sight. Oy!!! I need to pull myself together...and set some goals. Thanks for being there, Beachies!
  • I haven't been posting either because I'm WAAAAAY off track. Feeling bloated and achy. I know I have to smarten up. It's sink or swim time.
  • Hi Morning Star, what a pretty choice for a name!

I am Lubajo's sister, I look forward to meeting you next time we come down to see my sis.
Fantastic weight loss! Way to go!
  • Morning all, it's Friday morning for me. My second day on The Beach! I stepped on the scale this morning (what could happen overnight, honestly?) and to my shock I've dropped 2kg (4.4lbs)- probably water weight, but still, pretty unbelievable. Is this normal? Atkins wasn't this fast!

Maybe I've been lugging around a heap of water for ages and not known it?

Anyhoo, I've got a 3FC journal, my blog name is junebug.

Have a nice day all! I'm off to update my ticker!

I am a dinosaur myself-only just now getting into digtal-nothing has really compared to my Mamiya RB 6x7. I myself love playing in the darkroom, but it seems weird that all the classes revolve around that-very much the opposite around here. Have you checked at the local camera stores? they usually push the digital end of things and have classes to get people up to speed-even if you dont buy your camera there-they will be thinking you wll buy your next one there-tell them you are thinking of it to get your foot in the door if you have to. LOL. If you have to get a 35mm-they are so cheap to get used anymore-cheap cheap cheap. Digital and film are so diffrent tho-unless the classes are on composition use of light etc. I would look around for a class that is heading in the direction you want to go. Around here there are also classes at the community centers and parks departments as well as the community colleges. Number one rule-HAVE FUN!!
  • Hi everyone...Busy morning! Too busy and company coming at 2...
Weather here is cold...but not as cold as where most of you live...

Sure will be glad when spring comes and things start to warm up...In a week and a half DH and I are taking off to find sunshine and warm weather...AZ!!! and maybe lower Ca...Will keep you posted until we leave.

Sis: So nice to chat with you...I miss you and love so much.

Morning Star: Good girl for posting. good job, and i love you name better now.
  • WHEW-roads were mostly clear-and out by my horses had hardly any new snow!!! Was SO EXSTATIC!-we arent supposed to get above freezing for the next few days and where there is any moisture will be sheets of ice. I wasnt even going to go to the gym today-but came home and switched vehicles and made it there too-YEAHHHH. It's funny how the little things can seem like such a big thing when ya think ya cant do it. (Or maybe it's just me and don't worry-I KNOW I am a big dork)
I am sitting here finishing off the cabbage chicken soup I made a couple days ago. Had a hankering for cheesecake again-so I made a lemon-lime one-and then my friend Crazy Suzanne says that tofu is BAD for you-oh no-what now?
Has anyone else heard bad things about tofu?
  • Hey Wildwoman, I forgot to tell you (my sister mentioned earlier that you were from WA state...I just noticed you are from Tacoma. I live right up next to the Canadian border...Lynden, WA...nice little Dutch town. Have you ever ventured up this way?

When you talk about your horses it brings back memories. The kids and I each had a horse when they were growing up. I had a beautiful Arabian/Appy mix...white horse with a few spots on his hind quarter. That was the 'good ol' days for us.

Enjoy your horses every time you can.

Have a great day Friday everyone...hope to see you in the morning.

Morning Star, keep up the good work!
  • Argh I forgot how hard this is! The shakes have hit hard, my body must be in carb withdrawal. Tummy pains and general ickyness. Not to mention the heat! It's 26C (78F) still and it's 6:15pm. The house is hot and takes ages to cool down in the summer. Humpf.

Sorry for the whine but I feel terrible.
