  • I haven't heard of Black Christmas but just from the title, I'm imagining a a plot like "Bad Santa".... not that I've seen the movie, just the horrible previews. Thanks for the heads up, won't waste my $$$ on that one.

Just came back from seeing Night at the Museum w/my 7 y.o. It was a good family movie and funny! I love that Mickey Rooney and Dick Van Dyke had roles in it too, some real original funny men. I also took him to see Deck the Halls (not too good), and Eragon, a kids movie especially for dragon fans.

The Nativity Story and then Charlotte's Web are next in line.

There are a bunch of movies I want to see but haven't gotten around to. Did anyone see "Stranger Than Fiction" with Will Ferrel? Is it still out? I may have to wait for Netflix...
  • We definately want to see Night @ the Museum. We watched Bad Santa, its not too bad, but definately not the best movie I've ever seen.
  • yay reviewing movies. I haven't seen a single new movie since I can't remember when.

For you horror movie fans, I highly recommend The Descent, it just came out to rent. We watch a lot of horror movies, and this is the only one then ever made me jump in my seat or scream... it was just great.

I heard Eragon was horrible, but I really wanted to see it.
  • I do know one movie that the re-make was just as good as the original... Parent Trap
  • Wow you guys really get out to the movies! Getting out to the movies is always a fun evening. The only movie I have seen over the holidays is a football movie whose name escapes me...but it was good and it was based on a true story,...If I remember the name I will edit this and add the name.

  • Liz, was the football movie Invincible? (w/Mark Wahlberg ) I haven't seen it but I know I wanted to. That's another one going on my Netflix queue...

lizziness, if you can't bring yourself to see Eragon after you've heard bad reviews from others, you can just save your $$ and wait til the video comes out. I liked the movie since it was pretty big-kid friendly. It felt like it was a mixture of Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings--not as much WOW factor, but still enjoyable for a family.
  • we are marshall....thanks.

    Liz
  • Ooooooo...Matthew McConaughey...
  • Tech he was more adorable than usual in this movie.

    Liz
  • Liz: I have GOT to see it, then...I've been in 'kid flick' mode lately...
