I agree with everyone here and I see you talked to him and decided to be friends, that sounds like a great idea. I had a simular situation too, I wasn't in a band, but we had the same friends. So I just eventually I worked through my feelings and we were able to become friends and it helped both of us.
So take care and like the other ladies said, concentrate on "YOU" right now. HAng out with friends, how about a girls night out or something?
